The Simpson Movie, Only One Week Away!

Just got back from a preview screening (not really sure how it's a preview though as it seems to be on everywhere..)

Definitely recommend it - it's basically an extended episode of the TV show so if you like that you can't really go wrong...

And it's got Spider Pig!

BTW: Did anybody here get the new The Simpsons Movie screensaver to run? I've downloaded the Mac file from the official website (see "Downloads" there) and it tells me that it did install fine but my very new MacBook Pro won't start it.
 
Saw it last night at one of the 'previews'. It does seem to be on everywhere though. Like someone said before it is really an extended episode - a few movie specific gags, with the hand drawn 3D effects seen in Futurama. Homer gets the best lines as usual, but generally good fun. Not sure how many times I could watch it though - don't think I'll be buying the DVD - though I'd think a sequel is an absolute certain.
 
Just got back from watchin it, definitely a good movie, met my expectations (which doesn't often happen). It was exactly what I would want out of a Simpsons movie.

I didn't see anything that was cliff hanger material, but I did miss the ending credits. Did I miss anything good?
 
OK so I just saw the movie and its amazing you laugh really hard is totatlly worth it and a must see!!!!

I doesnt let you down and if you are a fan its WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

So go see it... I wont say anything but trust me GO!

That was a lot dirtier then the episodes.:D

Best !@#$ing movie ever. hands down. I couldn't beleive how great that was.

If you haven't seen it yet, see it. Now.
 
i did not see that nude skateboarding part coming at all.

even though everyone wanted it to happen i was shocked when it actually did happen.

where did sideshow bob go?
 
I'm gonna see it, but given that the Simpsons has been in a tailspin since like the 10th season, i can't help but feel as though this is Groening trying to milk this franchise for all its worth. Plus given the history of T.V shows that were made into movies, and vice versa, i don't have my hopes that high
And why wasn't this movie coming like 5-10 years ago when the simpsons was still as popular, but was still fresh?

I liked that part too and when Ralph says I like men now :D

I think a lot of people are thinking the same thing, but I would say this movie is definitely worth watching. I know I've stopped watching religiously when everything turned to crap, but you can't count out the many years of classic material it brought us. If Groening really wanted to milk, this movie would've been made many many years ago. Not saying that they aren't milking now, but they've had plenty of opportunities. The movie is worth the money.

I think Groening knows that the Simpsons show was getting bad reviews, this movie was a good move.

No one groaned in my audience. My audience was crazy. Mostly male teens and 20's. My friends said when he went it was pretty crazy too. Simpsons has got such a crazy followers :D
