Oddly enough for a while I was able to access threads via Google search while the main forum page threw up the 522 error.

Is this related to the issues of the last few weeks or a different problem altogether? Seems like a Rough patch we're in with this.

It's only me or loading MacRumors and Forums has become very slow since yesterday ?
Yesterday I even got I could not load the forum because it was under some upgrading

Yes, all yesterday/night and so far today. Painfully slow to change forums, click on threads etc etc.
I'm in UK and use forums.mr.com

No, that's the only time in the 48 hours or so of problems that that error appeared though the site was very slow.
There was a couple of hours from about 10am UK time where the site ran almost normally but it slowed down again quite badly after that.
It's not too bad now though 🙂
