Is it especially loose around the camera cut out? If so, you need to replace it. Contact Speck or where you bought it. I had a couple of black ones from Verizon that were really bad that I swapped out.

A couple? Like how many?

Ya I got it from the Verizon store so I will go by this week and return it for another.

I love my black presidio grip. I feel it is a major upgrade over the candy shell. Main reason being it will not show wear and tear after a couple days use like the candy shell. I think Speck nailed this case.

The first batch of black ones seem to be the ones that are showing wear. I bought a case from Speck as soon as they were released online and exchanged it for a newer one. The newer one is noticeably better made on the corners.

I may have spoke too soon :/ in extreme light I can see signs of wear on bottom left back of the phone in the groove.

We'll see if it keeps up

I got mine before iPhone 7 launch day from Speck website. I just noticed that the rubber is starting to wear off and the rubber part above lightning connector cutout is really funky.
I am just about to run out of the 30-day return window. Should I just send it back or contact them to do an exchange (use the lifetime warranty)?
--update--
I think I'm gonna return it and buy it from AT&T store so I can check them myself. Just found out my AT&T FAN account gives me 40% off for cases. Cheers!
---update 2---
Just back from AT&T store to pick up my case. They have several in stock but only one that feels much firmer. They list it for only $40 so I ended up paying $24+tax. Also I looked up and found out that you can exchange it at any AT&T store within a year. So AT&T basically deals with warranty claims for you for the first year.

What's wrong with the reviews?

1) not grippy
2) looks/feels cheap
3) poor quality/fit
4) overpriced

Seems like legit concerns to me.

Shame on Speck for selling some China Commie made garbage for a less than a buck for $40. Only in America!

Sorry but remind me where the iPhones are made?

There are a few legit factories in China (where the iPhones are made) and then you have your typical "sweat shop" factories where Nikes and other overpriced garbage is made. Somehow I don't think that Speck cases are being manufactured in those "nice" factories.

Are you for real?

I guess you never seen/want to see any of the documentarys exposing the conditions where some of the parts are made and where the phones are assembled made by the BBC and others.

That's good to heard!

Also one quick way to identify the first batch, look at the pictures I post, the first batch have the lightning connector cutout not perfectly in line with the rubber seam line.
Having used a later bought newer one for over a month, I find it has significantly better quality. Corners barely showing any wearing, and the grip bars stay intact as well.

Thanks for the heads up!

I still really really like this case, even with bulk and all.

great grip and good peace of mind

I have a black presidio grip and black plain presidio. Love both...the plain one is just so nice and clean, it is my daily case.

Can someone post a follow up on how the rubber grips hold up over time? Have they improved the quality on them and on the area above the charging port? The only thing keeping me from getting this case.

Are we still finding this case wonderful now that there's a lot of cases out on the market period ?
