I thought the season finale was good. They are clearly setting up characters for the next phase of the story. It was interesting to get a bit more information on the vampires who are not with the master. Thus far, they are one of the most interesting parts of the story. I'm still floored that in the last few episodes they continue to show people in the city going about their business as if nothing is going on.

Yup mine too. That is the only critique of the show right now also. Even the cops do not seem "weird-ed" out by what it going off. Of course they could be paid off.

Finally caught up and watch the season finally. I am digging the storm trooper vampires and hope we get to see more of them next season!

I liked the scene where the master was being burnt by the sun and all of the other vamp's were summoned and were coming to his rescue.

By the way the master is one freaking looking dude. I don't know if I like the way he looks or not.

Just caught the first episode of season 2 last night. I was pleased that The Master was hurt more than I previously imagined. :)

Of interest is the group of Ancients in combination with the Vampire Storm Troopers working with them, who were previously seen dispatching those turned in the process of saving some unaffected. This raises questions. Is the Master rogue? Obviously they like eating people, but are the Ancients of a less aggressive nature as far as turning the world? So what is the nature of the disagreement between the Ancients and The Master if there is disagreement? The Ancients are allowing Abraham to hunt him, but want to be notified when he locates The Master. Looking forward to when the agenda is revealed.

Now that I'm caught up and still enjoying it, but to do so, I need to turn a blind eye to how authorities are treating this. The CDC/Federal presence was involved from the start. Unless there is an implications of a high level conspiracy with vampires in positions of authority, at this point it's reasonable to believe there would be a full lockdown Marshall law in place, all of the police would be aware and wary, with a massive troop presence. And with packs of vampires making appearances, people for the most part would not be out and about. Let's also not think about the disruption of services and people starving in their homes. Either that or 95% of the population would be turned. I believe that since The Master is exerting local control, it's possible the infections are limited to the NYC area, otherwise it would be a worldwide World War Z style outbreak in no time.

The Rock Star is confronted by Two cops, sends out a mental signal and in minutes they are surrounded by a pack. Maybe the implication is that they are all over, sleeping in dark unnoticed places standing by for action. :)

Still unknown what the ancients agenda is. Storm troopers fail trying to abduct Palmer, owner of Stoneheart Group and vampire wannabe.

Did you catch the name of the main Vampire Storm Trooper? We chuckled when he said it.

I also like how we finally learned who and how the master came to be! I haven't caught up, an episode or two behind right now.

So far not a bad way to start off the new season.

I agree and said the same to my wife when we were watching the other night. But hey, suspense of disbelief is what makes fantasy/horror shows fun.

Maybe, but don't remember. Refresher please. :)

Especially in this case. :)

Supposedly Staten Island is a safe zone. Brooklyn is Vampire central. They haven't really talked much about the other boroughs, but one would think the National Guard would have been called in, even if NY is an island and everything can be contained.

With money coming from Palmer, there's really no telling where control is. I don't believe the Master wants to turn 95% of the population - that would destroy his food supply. And yea, he's definitely rogue. I hated seeing the "good" vampires getting toasted.

Well upon further research, it isn't what I thought he said.. I thought he said Vlad,, but it is actually Vaun..... rats. Sorry for the confusion.

Absolutely no problem! :)

Me too! For myself while the storm trooper guys seem civil, and rescued a few people, I watched the ancients devour a human, unknown if that was a good or bad human. Consequently, I regard the ancient's agenda, whom the storm troopers work, for as an unknown at this point.

Got a chuckle from last Sunday's episode:

Vasili Fet: "You know they say one in four people is mentally unstable".
"Good thing there is only three of us."
"Not if you count my invisible friend Donny."

Hey, they got a vamp virus! Guest appearance by General Medrano (Quantum of Solace), here the Silver Angel (Joaquin Cosio). :)

Two weeks was a disgusting sexual close call between Elchorst and an unwilling captive, Nikki. Won't say more, but think of this emoticon. -> :p Thank goodness for pepper spray, surprisingly effective against vamps.

I'm wondering if this season final next Sunday centered on acquiring the book will actually change the status quo. I'm hopeful, but preparing to be disappointed. If they get their hands on the book, I would expect the tide to turn against the Master, although there is Plan B to produce the vamp virus locally in NYC.

I'm hoping that Council Woman Feraldo remains a good character, now that Palmer has sold her a bill of goods. I've also been waiting for Palmer's girlfriend to turn on him once she realizes his support of the bad guys, but now she knows of the Master, yet is still with him. Seems like most of her displeasure was based on being kept in the dark. :(

Season 2 Finale- hmm.

Good guy dies, all bad guys remain, mummy gets her boy, they get the book but the status quo seems hardly changed.

Anyone still watching this that thinks the story is dragging? This probably would have been better suited to a mini-series. We've got the Master, the Elders whom the Storm Troopers serve, the Free Agent, the Master Hunting Team of Ep, Abe, and Vasi, the turned wife, and the kidnapped son. These are all good elements, but it seems like a lot of filler. Admittedly I'm behind on Season 3, with my understanding that Season 4 is the end, I'll hang in there for awhile longer and hope it picks up.

We're still watching, but the "new car smell" has worn off at this point. I still find it an interesting take on the vampire myth, but there are parts that I also think are kind of "cheesy".

Still watching...lots of fillers and the story is dragging along, ugh! My only wish is that they kill-off that annoying character, Zach!

Well, I'm only one show behind and scratch the comment about things moving slowly. Did I really see what I thought I saw? I might be able to hang in there for one more season. :)

They really killed the Master? He was that easy? Something suspicious here. And the master worm got away! ;)

The son? He's doing a good job of looking suspiciously at his mom! :p
