Just because it was a first I taped it and will watch it later. I have never been a Conan fan, so I don't expect much. I'll be waiting for Leno in the fall.

I think he's definitely an acquired taste. It will be interesting to see what he changes or is asked to do different based on the new time slot. I thought it was pretty good. However, I did find it odd that there was so much video humor as opposed to more time with guests. Is it just me or was having only one guest kinda odd. Isn't there usually two or more guests on the couch and a musical guest as well? Maybe they just did more Conan time to help introduce him to those who may not be familiar. Not everyone knows he's "Da Party Starter..." :)

He did say that the debut was going to be a slightly different format than usual. I think it was a good way for new viewers to see what Conando is all about.

I was impressed with the first show. I was laughing out loud with the Universal thing. I believe that was a good intro to Conan; it's when he's at his best. I'm exited to see more of that, but I must admit that his whole monologue was very Jimmy Kimmel-ish with the videos.

I was too young to remember Cone-bone when Andy was around, but I think that Max was a pretty good sidekick (at least he was the one I grew up on). I was happy to see that Max was coming, I thought that he said he wasn't gonna move to the west because of his east coast ties. Andy just seemed like he needed to be hugging Conan instead of watching him... I don't think that we'll see much of the masturbating bear, but I do hope we see Abe Vigota come back after being released into the wild. :) That is all... "Vroooom vroooom pahty stahtuh!" :D

I personally can't stand Conan. I don't think he's funny at all. NBC made a mistake by axing Jay from the Tonight Show, IMO.

Don

I just watched the show that I recorded last night, and what a waste of recording space. Please, this man is just not funny in the least. I agree completely with Dmac77.

I always enjoyed Leno. He wasnt completely wacky funny like Conan, but he was just a classy guy who made the show fun to watch.

I was pleasantly surprised by Andy. Im not sure what i was expecting, but his announcing was quite pleasant. It didnt feel mechanical like Melendez, but it wasnt sloppy either.

It was great...the opening skit was hilarious, as was Will's entry on stage. I thought it went really well.

There was more funny in the opening skit (the cross country run thing) than there was in 17 years of Leno
Leno is about as funny as cancer. I don't know what anyone sees in him.

Pearl Jam rocked! Even at their worst they are better than all these pathetic bands out now. The majority of the bands now are a bunch of middle classed cry babies, pretending to be "punk" or worse off than they are, complaining about something or god knows what. Fall Out Boy, MCR, etc., are nothing but a bunch of posers and are quite painful to even attempt to listen to.

You must not have seen the show. Even hardcore PJ fanatics were disappointed with the performance/sound quality.

I saw the show. The beginning of the song seemed to have some difficulties but as it kept going it had a great vibe/energy to it. If you are reading or getting your info. from the 10Club message boards then stop right there. The band could have been handing out $50 bills to everyone and they (10Club) would have been complaining that it should have been $100 bills. They are nothing but a bunch of ingrates over there.

Last night wasn't bad, I enjoyed his shopping spree. And Green Day (of which I am not a fan, and they're really out on the media frenzy promoting their album) sounded much, much better than Pearl Jam.

Green Day? Are they still trying to be relevant. What's with the fake (just like their supposed "punk" band status) English accent? They are horrible to say the least.

DO YE KNOW YE EH-NE-MEE

Yeah, I'm over Green Day, and every time they appear on tv they're singing that same song over and over, it's annoying.

It pretty much feels, for the most part, like Late Night but with a new set. Love the fact that the Max Weinberg 7 remained, same with the opening theme (I felt so happy when I heard that) - not too sure about the renaming of the band though...and the one guest and a band thing is interesting as opposed to having two guests and a band like he used to.

Heh, I was watching Headbangers Ball a few weeks ago, and it was populated with tons of death & black metal bands, and was following around Lamb of God on their new tour.
Each commercial break (and I mean every one), had some sort of add promoting the new Green Day album. Somehow I think they were missing their target demographic by appealing to latter day metal heads. I automatically assumed that the album sucks, since I parallel the amount of advertising for a movie typically equates to it's crappiness..
