what's he been up to then?

i just watched 4 episodes of TG the other day on the Discovery channel, seems like they rehash past UK episodes and have the guys doing the studio bits again for a US audience, weird.

is this a new series of TG now then? the last only just finished didn't it?

Shhhhhhhh!!! I'm still waiting fot the torrent to show up, don't ruin it for me!

They just rebroadcast a couple of the "Americanzed" episodes the other day. The Discovery Channel working on a totally new homegrown American version, which sounds like it will be a real stinker. You can't get a grumpy, loudmouth (but entertaining) ****** like Clarkson on TV in America unless you're talking politics, so it will be lame.

why do US TV networks always try and recreate top UK shows? it never ever works, with the exception of "the office" which is popular here, personally i think both stink, "office space" is where it's at.

i'll be looking for the torrent of this one tomorrow...

Especially with a car show....the US and UK have very different car cultures. I can't wait for the US Top Gear's "Sports Pickup drag race/trackday shootout"  . Or one of the presenters maintaining a straight face while repeating GM's bullsh*t about their Yukon XL's displacement on demand tech giving that behemoth the "best fuel economy in it's class"(what class? The Penis envy Class?), even though it still can't break into the 20s.

"Office Space" is inimitably good....but I do like The Office too. The US version is less crap than most shows that jump the pond, but it just isn't the same.

Does anybody have a link to a download or torrent of lastnight's Olympic special? Of course, I found out it was on about 15 minutes after it had finished!

There's a repeat at 23.15 (GMT) this saturday, feb. 18th, BBC2, by the way!

It's on the BBC's site to stream before 19 Feb - whole thing plus the bit with the Mini

Here but I'm not sure if you'd have to convince it you had a UK IP address for it to work?

Thanks for the link. Looks like its UK only though! Bummer!

Awesome! :D

I love the part (during the ice hockey bit) where May accused Clarkson of not paying attention by chatting up one of the female spectators, at which point one of the local drivers said "that's my wife!".... :D

The rocket mini was epic.

You can find torrents of all the episodes of the past 3 years or so at www.finalgear.com

or

Find the video download at http://www.wrxfanatics.com/index.php?showtopic=19611&st=180
You have to sign up with this one to download though!

Thanks a lot for those links. The only problem is I noticed the torrent was an avi file - which I can't play on my mac. Before I sign up to wxrfanatics, is the download on that site avi as well or is it wmv/mpeg?

Thanks a lot.

Go and get MPlayer OSX or VLC, either will play back pretty much ANY avi.

Have downloaded MPlayer. Cheers for this! Now I can finally play avi files!

It's the small victories that keep me going :D

CANNOT WAIT! :D

Best programme on TV. :D

Would I come off as sad if I told you I downloaded season 1-6, in one 26GB torrent? ;)

Then I would be even more sad..... I downloaded the 1989 - 1993 torrents too.
Different Top Gear then, and not so amusing at all. But just because it is Top Gear, and the fact you get to see JC with a alot of hair made me do it :D

well good, i well cant wait but i bet like last time there will only be 6 episodes. i bet it prob costs the bbc a load to make it but worth every penny - should be more episodes.

i bet they also struggle getting hamster off daytime tv to doing real tv!
