Any cars on it this week??? ;)

On a side note... Top Gear were filming the new Jag on the London Road/A46 near the Jag plant about a month ago, how do I know this... because I almost wipped 'em out at 70. :D

*Doctor Claw Voice*I'll get you next time Clarkson... next time.

LOL!

Let's hope we get a glimpse of you, iGav! :p

Mondeo ST220

First car up Mondeo ST220. I rented a Mondeo ST, the 2.2 TDCI version, just last week and while it's not quite as fast as the petrol one (top end 137 Vs 151) but it was very very quick and had awesome power in the midrange.

Without doubt one of the most fun cars I've driven. I'd like to have a blast in the petrol one. :D

Edit: Ouch, Clarkson has just gone down in Vauxhalls bad books - again. He hates the Vectra so much.

Ships have less understeer than that Vectra

That caravan ending reeks of a set up, like the car wash incident at the start of the series.

Another funny episode!

Caravan got what it deserved. :D

But the F1 car "inside" thing... well... that essentially flopped.
We all know that the F1 power can only be used when the downforce starts working.... anyone remember the "Other Car Show", where they raced an F1 car, a Super Bike and a racing boat? and that was outside on proper asphalt... (not for the boat obviously... :D )

"The worst chassis ever" or words to that effect. What a barge. A fast barge, but a barge nonetheless.

Yeah it did come across like that. Not quite as obvious as the car wash but definitely a bit suspicious. Funny in places though.

Really did think James may would thump Clarkson at one point.

Top Gear has to be the funniest thing on TV, no sit com comes close.

And as for Muscle Cars..have to agree with Clarkson on that.

Agreed. I think the episode wasn't "Top Gear" standard, so I guess that was there to make it a little more exciting after the 2 minute+ Lacetti lap and the F1 car barely reaching 80mph indoors. But its great to have Top Gear back anyway :)

Ha, no!
It's because Americans make bad cars! Jeremy wants to punish you for that! :D
Haha :D

As for the the caravan piece how contrived was that, I also thought the car wash was set up, they seem to have lost their way a bit by concentrating on humour too much and not cars. It seems like it's turning into one of those awful Clarkson DVD's that come out at Christmas. Hope I'm wrong as 5th Gear sucks and that's the alternative  (not to mention that show Power erm thingy on ITV)

I have never seen understeer like that!
Why the hell front wheel drive, then?

Vauxdull have always had problems instilling a degree of dynamism in their chassis, to the point where they either have Lotus try and fix the problem for them (see Lotus Carlton, VXR range) or they just save themselves the embarrassment and use a Lotus chassis in the first place (VX220) and if that fails they just import them from a fellow GM sister company... (Opel, Holden... Manta and Monaro etc).

Personally I think the level of understeer in that Vectra is nothing other than dangerous.

Yes, but kinda dull.

And they've run out of people wanting to go on it by the looks of it too... :p

Last episode already??

A somewhat disappointing season again from Top Gear. I guess the selection of cars interesting cars to choose from was pretty limited. I miss the cool races. Those were always the best. Let's hope that next season is up at the level we're used to again!

Common, it wasn't all that bad.The car-boat racing was pretty funny. Some entertaining races. And the football :)

Yeah... last episode.
Back in the Autumn, so won't be too long a wait.

Series with its ups and downs. Not many good tests but some very funny stuff though!

Anyone figured out why the dog was put in?
