I'd count yourself as lucky. I persevered and got an order through at mid-day on the 15th. I live in Kilmarnock, about 20 mins drive from Glasgow, and my expected delivery date according to my dispatch mail is the 28th.

Much unhappiness if that's true.......

I live near Dundee and mines says on or before the 28th as well

Urgh. You know, I've been pretty good about this iPhone business; not thinking about it too much and whatnot. Now that it's shipped, I just know I won't get any sleep tonight... :-/

best advice is to go out......watch england game....get severely hammered either way......to drown sorrows or to celebrate......then come home around 9pm drunk fall straight to sleep....wake up around 8am tomorrow......thats my plan i think :D

go to apple site, track your order.....then press view order details.....then press print invoice....it pops up with an invoice and it defo says DUE 23RD JUNE.....if u cant find it let me know and i'll screen dump it.

The due date on an invoice is normally when the payment is due, not when delivery is due!

My understanding is PAYG is card only (needed for the initial top-up, with is mandatory). Sim free you *should* be ok with cash, but they might have a card-only rule for launch day. Best to call in today or give them a call to check beforehand.

On a side note, I don't think any PAYG plans are available tomorrow anyway, so Sim free might be your only option.

Nice one cheers, Sim free will be fine infact will probably be better for me. Will drop them a line today.

Strange. I ordered mine at 8pm on the 15th and mine has shipped.

From the Looks of things, they're prolly shipping them in reverse order!! Lol. So much for first come first served. :)

I ordered at 11am on the 15th, prepared on US site, still not yet shipped on UK site. Not looking good from here! :(

Just did. They can't find it yet in their system. They told me to wait a couple of hours...

ah brilliant cheers mate....what does worry me is that on their website it says enter the 8 digit number....but the tracking number seems to be 10 digits i think??

Ordered mine 9.20am GMT, Shipped 3am this morning. That was for a 32GB no accessories. Do the people who ordered early but still don't have shipping have a 16GB on order? or do you have extra items on the order?

I spoke to them they recognised the tracking number from the UK apple site as an apple number, says apple will have printed the UPS label but wont have been scanned by UPS yet. So probably will be collected today for delivery tomorrow. UPS asked for a 1Z number to start with (thats the tracking number on the US apple store order page) but they said either tracking number should be valid.

When Apple stuff is in transit from Apple to the couriers, the tracking just shows the 'Apple Delivery Reference Number' as the 'Carrier Tracking Number', which as everyone's finding, you can't use. However, once the courier allocates a delivery tracking number prior to it being sent out for delivery the Carrier Tracking Number field will be updated to show this.

In other words, if it's showing the same number as the delivery reference, then it wont work as a tracking number. However, if it's a different number (usually beginning 1Z for UPS) then you should be able to track this on the courier's website. Would guess that the proper tracking numbers will start to appear late tonight.

So for all the optimistic people hoping to take delivery today, if your order is still showing the Apple Reference Number then I'm afraid the courier hasn't even processed it yet, never mind despatched it!

the iZ number can be got from the Apple automated phone system; i got mine but still not up on the UPS website; even though the apple website says at London UPS ergghhh

It's quite good that they are spreading the deliveries between 2 companies so that 1 company is not overrun and does not get them delivered.

Ah right, i'm with tnt tho...starts 81......but it's 10 digits.....theres also a 9 digit tracking number on us site but that didnt work either, oh well..

I ordered a 16GB at 08:57 GMT and I got my shipping notification 03:13 this morning...

my order was just the phone, no accessories...

I dont really think there is much correlation between order time and when it is shipped. I ordered mine at 04:38pm gmt and i got my dispatch e-mail at 01:32 this morning.

I have my UPS tracking number, but it isn't active on their site yet.... ANNOYING!

I stupidly ordered bumpers for my 16gb and 32gb all in one order. This was what was prolly delaying it. I cancelled the bumpers yesterday but it didn't make a differnce to the dates. So I guess larger orders are delayed somewhat.
