Same!

Mine's shipped via UPS. They any good?

I was in the Apple store yesterday getting antsy cause the money was taken and was returned. Would've cried in front of my genius if I'd found out that the order had been cancelled but it turns out some banks claim back the money if the 'temporary' hold exceeds 7 days (or whatever you bank ceases to call temporary)

Apple knows it happens, and is fine with it. Apparently it will just drag the money out your account when the iPhone leaves their system. Alls good (Y)

EDIT- sorry, not clear, the same in that post was to

yea.....a flaming catalogue of some sort for my missus that was too big to fit in letterbox.......woop de do lol

Aw man... I used to hate those. Especially when no one is in to take it. 1) they're heavy 2) you had about 5 or if you delivered around an area full of old people, LOADS

When you have upto 5 bags to deliver and each weigh 16KG, it grinds you hard.

does anyone know the rule with tnt??? i mean....say i go out today and miss the delivery......am i able to phone them later, tell them to leave it at their depot and pick it up first thing tomorrow??

With TNT and UPS and DPD, if they try to deliver and you arent there, you can usually phone the card and go down and pick it up tonight up til around 8pm.

I was considering 3 but yeah... not releasing prices and its the day before launch is a joke. Even if they wont have it ready for launch themselves at least we could see what they had to offer and hold out for them.

As it is I wont be going to 3 mostly due to this.

O2 are still a maybe I guess... unlimited to 500MB is harsh though and I'd rather vote with my wallet on that one so its looking like bye bye O2

That leaves Orange or Vodafone for me... both £35 24 month tariffs are similar.... voda has an extra 250MB a month and also has femtocell for £50 if the signal is rubbish in my house (only had O2 here so no idea if Orange or Vodafone signals are good)

So for me looks like Vodafone though I wouldnt be disappointed if I ended up on Orange

I've been with Vodafone for over 10 years and always had good signal most place I go. ALso I've noticed that when calling other people I seem to hear the Vodafone voicemail service the least of all networks, either my friends aren't on Vodafone or they get good coverage too. I know O2 coverage is no good at home or work.

I can't see anything on the Orange deals that would make me want to change to them.

I know 3 reception is ok where I need it as I have a 3 dongle for the laptop.

I phoned them last night and they said no one has ordered any with them yet, they haven't taken any pre-orders. I think I'm going to die of pinch-of-salt poisoning.
They said they'd contact me when they have them available, but that I'll definitely be able to get one tomorrow, either get it delivered or pick it up. Pass the salt again.

I'm seriously considering switching to 3 but I will go with Voda if I get an offer. 3 have been playing a game with us and I don't fancy going with a company that treats us like that.
There are 2 contracts involved here worth over £2000 to them over the next 2 years, can companies really afford to miss out on such valuable business?

Yes...

Basically... 2000 (or 4000 for both) isn't that big of a deal for a company... especially when it's spread over 2 years... and also remember that a decent chunk of that geos to apple for the cost of the handset... so as long as not oo many ppl think like you, then it's not to big a deal for them...

however, since it won't only be you thinking like that... then as long as they don't invest in he iPhone too much then it still doesn't matter to them too much... but they are still loosing all that business... so they are taking the piss... cuz they can't afford to piss customers off like that at all... creates bad press for all their customers, including the ones that don't want the iPhone...

Yeah I'm sure you can collect from TNT Depot's. How much notice they need, I'm not sure though.

I work about 200 yards from my local TNT branch up at Durham Tees Valley Airport so if I miss the delivery today I'll just have a wander over in the morning and try to collect the phone :)

I don't for a minute think iPhone's will be delivered today though, especially with all the stages they go through with couriers! Seems too much to ask for something to ship at 2am and have it delivered before 5pm the same day.

Hey im just wondering...

Can carriers supply you with two sim cards for the same phone number?

Im going to zante in august and obviously don't want to carry a £600 phone around. So can they supply us with a micro-sim and a normal sized sim for my crappy samsung?

awesome, thanks everyone....gonna wait till around 2pm.....then i'm going out whether i have it or not.......come on england!! :)

Guys who're lucky enough to receive their iPhones today: Could you tell us whereabouts you live? ;p

Thats a pretty good point... don't think I can remember the last time I heard a vodafone voicemail message.

As you say either down to great coverage or not knowing many people on Vodafone

No, they can't. What you can do is to play the micro-sim in an adaptor to turn it back into a regular sim.

UPS came at 11am on monday to deliver my ipad. If that's anything to go by my new phone should be here in 40 minutes! (hopefully) :D aahhh cant wait!
