probally lost..

Lol, that's quite blunt... I'd say not too worry too much cuz they might just not have the iPhones from apple yet... if it doesn't arrive tomorrow then maybe start to worry... and anywho... don't worry tooo much cuz it's insured... so worst comes to worst you get a second one... just kinda sux that you'd have to wait to long to get it after being one of the first to order it...

What to do wait for a possible delivery or go out and get that SIM...

asayer has yet to post pics or was he pulling our legs...newbie after all :p

Update

Yesterday my tracking was showing as 'prepared for dispatch'.

Today, its showing as 'shipped' and have got a UPS tracking number. Looks like it will be on the van for delivery tomorrow.

Mine shipped to Cardiff on 23/06/2010 and I am still unable to get any information from the UPS website?!

Just got a phone call from my local Orange store where I had my 32GB preordered at.

They got far less than their allocated stock in, only 7 16GB's and 1 32GB, so as a result they're cancelling all preorders and making it first come first served.

I had originally planned to be outside queueing around 5:30-6am, but I may make it even earlier now!

With TNT and UPS and DPD, if they try to deliver and you arent there, you can usually phone the card and go down and pick it up tonight up til around 8pm.
Careful. It might be true but when I had my iPad delivered I was chatting to the TNT driver and he said that they weren't doing the usual carding policy for the deliveries. If they got a "no one home" incident then they had been told to automatically attempt a delivery the following day and, if that failed, again the next day (which was a Saturday). After that they went on to the usual carding policy.

This time might be totally different but I'd check, it would be gutting to set of to the depot the next day only to find that the parcel wasn't there but was already on a van for re-delivery.

I was told that I can pick it up and it's really a 24 hour service really if this was the case.

Thanks for the info :(

I also have a local store reservation for a 32GB. I haven't had a call but I was planning to go into my store and ask them about all the stories I was hearing about Orange stock, no PAYG at launch (except from Apple Stores), etc. Yours is one more to add to the list. I'll post my findings later.

Sorry to hear that you got let down so badly.

anybody who is in the house can sign for it. Doesn't have to be the person it's addressed to.

:p anyone at the delivery address can sign... the signature is just for proof of delivery so that if there is a dispute (ir. someone says it wasn't delivered) they have proof that it was delivered...

EDIT: NOOOOOOOO I hate posting an answer to something just to see someone else JUST beat me to it :(
