I have tried this too.
Good to see im not the only one still waiting. Guess there must be a massive backlog. Would have probably been done by now if there wasnt an issue with the image that was on all but one of the iMacs at Touchwood. Problem with O2 site and ........ Flash/Shockwave. Grrr!!!!
Fingers crossed it wont take long so i can junk the temporary phone im using and fully swap over to the iPhone 4.
What a fantastic device it is though. The screen is stunning and almost looks as though it is a photo stuck to the phone. Amazing!!

my queuing story :
Turned up at London Wall at 6.55. There were 3 people queuing outside Orange, 8 people outside vodafone...and 50 people outside O2
joined the back of the O2 queue, eventually got my phone at 10.45am, so late for work.
think O2 had about 100-150 stock, they sent the rest of the people away.
Cant wait to get home and break it out, but have to work till 7 to make up the time, GAH.

Can we get a good set of data going on the possibility of this signal issue in the UK?

Please dont just say I have 5 bars and when i hold it still 5 bars. That could just mean you are in an excellent area of reception.
Please do some testing ie i have 2 or 3 or 4 bars and then hold it and say what happens.
If we get a bunch of people saying then we can get an idea of how widespread this problem is, if at all, in the UK.
I would greatly appreciate any info on this as i am sure many others would.

if you're contacts are already synced to something like gmail and you have itunes just activate it and get your contacts on now through your gmail email account, then restore and sync contact/music/apps at home. that's what i've done to get me going as im at work too.

UPS man just turned up with my new toy. I asked him if it was a busy day today, but he said it was only a bit busier, don't think he even knew what I was getting at to be honest.
Its worth confirming that the UPS label on the box says NO DELIVERY TO NEIGHBOUR, so you (or somebody) needs to be in the house or it will more than likely be returned (though individual drivers don't always follow the rules).

mate, seems like you're living right next to me - i heard & saw that van as well i went all crazy, but nothing...

First impressions
Very nice to hold, Design is Beautiful - Classic Apple
Signal seems to hold up okay, Nothing like the Signal Problems in the US
Love the 2 speakers now, Sound is Better
Video is superb, Camera is deffo a step up, Great for Casual and Tweets
Display is simply superb, Can't fault it and Videos look Wowza

My preorder just arrived... UPS, Portishead (near Bristol). Was Out For Delivery since 5.15am. UPS guy said it was "a busy day".

its up on the website they're probably the best deals around
I just wish we had a scheduled time slot....like 1-4pm or something so i would stop panicking and just chill and watch the tennis or something.....but i'm always worried that something will go wrong the longer i wait lol
which web site are you using? I did mine on http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk/ because http://o2.co.uk/mynewsim wouldn't work for me (turns out I needed to be logged in for that one)

till now no UKiPhone4 had issues....
When I hold it in my left hand the signal bars do go down but it doesn't fall off completely (gets to about 2 bars). This happened with my 3gs on occasions as well. Other than that it's great
