My preorder just arrived... UPS, Portishead (near Bristol). Was Out For Delivery since 5.15am. UPS guy said it was "a busy day".
Anyway, off to play with new toy now.
Thats weird. Mine is coming from Gloucester and I live in South Wales. Bristol is right next to the seven bridge :/
As did mine, it's on the inside sleeve of the little packet that the instructions manual came in.
Seriously!!! Mine is out for delivery since 5:29 and nothing yet. By the way i live in halls and usually the reception signs for deliveries, do you think UPS will be okay with that?
Yep, from Stoke. Hopefully as my driver didn't say they were overwhelmed with work today they shouldn't have any problems delivering everything out of the depot. Remember they deliver up to 19:00, so don't panic if you don't have anything by 5:00. Good luck, I'm off to play!
Well I got mine finally.
I went down to my local O2 shop at 8:30am and I was 5th in the queue, it took an hour and half to get it. A few wee scares on the way though, firstly I was nearly put to the back of the queue after a mix up getting ID'd and then the guy scanned through a 3GS instead of an iPhone 4 after he picked the wrong box up in the back of the shop, but I got there in the end.
Now I'm trying to do the sim swap and the fvcking code on the back of my micro sim keeps coming up with an error when I type it out. What's that all about?
Just type the first 19.
Make sure you have a contract sim (envelope should say pay monthly / business users) otherwise it wont work. It will just give you the error you have posted.
Had the same prob as they gave me a pay n go microsim the other day.
Also be carefull as you only get three pins per 24hours. Dont go locking yourself out lol

Plus i don't want everyone in the office to know why i was so late for work, so i can't break it out until Monday and then say "oh i got one over the weekend"

Grrr it's upsetting me to see everyone talking about their iPhones not activating, atleast you have an iPhone!
I can only get into Exeter at around 4.30PM and called O2, here was the brief conversation:
o2:Hi there, O2 Exeter, how can I help?
me: Hi there, bit of a silly question, but do you have any iPhone 4's left?
o2: I can't say sir, there's still a huge queue (at 11:30!! it opened at 8:02)
me: Ok, well.. I can only get to Exeter at about 4:30, will there...?
o2: No.
me: Any a...?
o2: No.
me: Oh well, thanks for your time..
o2: Sorry mate, it's crazy down here..
They get more stock in August, and most of the people who get them then will be new customers who aren't allowed to get iPhones now..

If they have managed to make hundreds of thousands of iphones in a matter of weeks I don't think we will have to wait till august. production will still be at full pace!
Quick question as I've never had an iPhone before. Next to the network name (vodafone UK) there is a 'o' . What does this mean?

I am waiting for delivery from UPS in Northampton. Out for delivery since 4.36am and I only live a mile or two from the depot.

Well that was relatively easy!
Went to the Tesco Extra in Hayes Yeading at 9.30 after the school run, not really expecting to get one as the guy said on the phone yesterday that they were only getting around 10...
Anyway, turned out there were only 8 people ahead of me and I left 45 minutes later with a new iPhone 4!
Unfortunately only a 16GB as they only had 4 32GB phones and they went to the first 4 people, but I couldn't face walking away with nothing and uncertain about when I might be able to get my hands on a 32.

Just setting it up now - very exciting!

Tracking shows delivery attempted but clearly I'm not there.
Just south of Glasgow.
Back from Tesco in Slough with my 16GB iPhone4.
Bit slow in the queue at first, but some friendly folk to chat to.
Kinda nice to see that the folks who got there for opening all got one, folks trying now are a bit disappointed though.
Just got to get everything synced now so I can play!
