I stress tested this band last week and unless yours has a manufacturing defect then you’ve nothing to worry about.
Honestly it’s nearly impossible to break and you really have to try hard to do that.

Just read thru this thread and there was a lot of initial love for this band.

How's the love holding up?

I love the look of it. My only real concern is the old Milanese did a lot of wrist hair pulling.

It has saved me money. I have about 60 original Apple bands for all my watches and tend to buy new ones frequently. Since I got this back in November or December, my Ultra hasn’t seen another band and not even been tempted to buy one. Comfortable, looks great and no hair pulling!

Still in love with it: I’m using it also when running or playing padel without problems!

And no hair wrist pulling at all, in my experience.

Same for me, it’s the only ultra band I would ever purchase because I want my bands to look okay if I go back to a series watch.
I only ever wear this or the leather links as I think they compliment the ultra so well.
I’ll admit that I wish the loop was less bulging but I understand the look they’re trying to accomplish.

Be careful purchasing this band. I just received a used-like new from Amazon warehouse and it was a fake.
It seems people are purchasing this band from Amazon new then swapping it out with a fake and sending it back.

I bought mine in AS for similar reasons. Don’t like to gamble for 20€.

Picked up the black last week. It’s incredible.
Went with large , approx 190mm , so buckle sits just off centered towards thumb. Actually the buckle sits right where the trail loop pull tab rests. Good transition.

From the DesFit video, moving watch up approx half inch (better flow) from wrist bone for road cycling has buckle centered.

made the right choice.

Will only swap out band when mountain biking. For every crash, s3 > s6 > now u2 , I’d check the watch prior to bike frame lol . Anything else 24/7. It’s been cloudy since got it. Can’t wait to see how the sun makes it pop.

It's still their best band, bar none.

I’ve had mine for a couple of months and, in that time, I’ve worn it for a few weeks. It is pretty comfortable and I like the way that it catches the light. Being metal, it will be easy to clean.

That said, for me, the fabric and leather loops are more comfortable. I find myself adjusting the Milanese loop during the day for fit: which is not something that I have to do with the other bands.

Just to provide an alternative view.

Whilst I like the way my black Milanese band interacts with the ambient light, I rarely wear mine. I find the black fabric and black leather bands to be more comfortable (albeit leather is not as hard wearing or as easy to keep clean as the Milanese band).
