Carrier The Verizon iPhone X Pre-Order and Dispatch Thread

Update:

I was charged last night around 9:00pm via my Amex and received a FedEx tracking number as well as the delivery date (11/03). It is currently in Memphis, TN.

I am located in East, FL and ordered my iPhone X @ 3:05 EST on 10/27. I received my confirmation via email @ 3:25 am.


Question: Does anyone have any tips / experience on changing the address to have it delivered at a FedEx facility OR held for pickup? I will be at Disney World on Friday and would like to have it redirected to a FedEx facility in Orlando so I can pick it up after I’m finished there. Thanks!!!

Yes mine is doing that. Interestingly and coincidently I had another package in Memphis with FedEx. It too was just sitting and getting scanned. I thought it was interesting because my other package had a 10/31/17 delivery date and as of 12:01am on 10/31/17 the package was still in Memphis! I thought there is no way in hell it was going reach me on 10/31. When I woke up this morning (10/31) the package was scanned as leaving at 4:30am and apparently was flown to my state over 1000 miles away and placed on a truck for delivery by 8:30am. I just used the map tracker and it's just a few miles away and it's 10:55am. So on 11/2 if phones are still in Memphis and it's almost midnight, people should not freak out. FedEx will deliver!

Shipping logistics just amaze me sometimes (even more so when you factor in the front end ordering process ... order on Amazon, next day it's at your house)

It's not actually moving around, they are being held in Memphis at least for the Eastern part of the country. They are being scanned daily, that's why it just says "At local FedEx facility" and nothing more.

I'm still processing as well with you. 256 SG with an 11/3 delivery date. I still think we're fine... they can technically process and ship as late as Thursday morning and we could get it on Friday. Thats what happened last year with my 7+ and the box was labeled with "Overnight shipping".

Same boat as well. I also think we’ll be fine, but it sure isn’t stress free this way!

Just got off the phone with Verizon, called mainly to change data plan, but also asked why one order was shipped and second one still processing, they let me know that it was random and based on when order is fulfilled and one of my orders has not been fulfilled yet, but i will still get it on 11/3 since order was placed before stock ordered from Apple for 11/3 delivery date was finished.

Good to know, this is the boat I’m in! One shipped, one hasn’t even been charged. Ordered two minutes apart, going to same address.
 
interesting that the app says ship by 11/3 and processing, but if I log on to my account online, it still says processing, but will deliver by 11/3. I guess it wont move until wed or thurs on my end..

Here's the situation...

[Friday - PreOrder Night] - I placed an order for one iPhoneX 256Ggb Silver, but like many I experienced issues with the Verizon app. I managed to checkout and place my order, however I get a "confirmation" screen with what appears to be a broken image and a "Done" button (see screenshot). When I click the "Done" button it brings me to another screen that says "Unable to process your request at this time. Please contact Customer Service by dialing *611". Thank You" (see screenshot). At this point I don't want to take any chances so I place another order, but this time everything went through no problem, no errors. I'm happy, I go back to bed

[Saturday Morning] - I wake up to one confirmation email "your order is complete". It looks like it was sent/received shortly after my 2nd attempt at placing the order.

[Monday Morning] - My bank account was charged 1x the amount of the tax. Later in the morning I get an email "Your Tracking and Shipping Information"

[Tuesday Morning] - I get another email "Your Tracking and Shipping Information", which I found odd and chalked it up to Verizon's system sending out multiple emails. Like many, I'm eager to get this phone and keep checking my tracking number, however I noticed on one viewing, the phone was in New Jersey. Then I checked it again, the phone was in Memphis? I thought to myself, "I know FedEx sometimes likes to bounce shipments around but this is ridiculous".
As I dig further, the two shipping emails I received had 2 different order numbers, 2 different sets of IMEI/SIM ID, 2 different tracking numbers, all under the same phone number?

At this point I think I'm getting 2x iPhones, but the 2nd charge to my bank account is coming. I'll wait for this to happen by end of today or tomorrow and then give Verizon a call and see whats going on. Maybe I can keep the 2nd one and give it to my wife, hopefully she will love me more?

I’m in Montana and mine is still chillin’ eating some of that fine Memphis BBQ..so I don’t think it’s an Eastern US only thing to just be hanging out in Memphis. I won’t panic about it hanging out there unless it’s Thursday afternoon and she’s still there.

I had this happen with my preorder via the MyVerizon app. It showed the “confirmation screen” but it appeared to be broken. I tapped done. And it said the same. But just seconds after tapping done I got my confirmation email. So I was worried for a few seconds. But when I saw the email I was a little more relieved that all went well.

Followed the countdown clock on the app, forced closed the app at :10 left, waited a second, reopened it, and preorders were live. I got in at around 12:56 MST and ordered at 12:57 with a confirmation email at the same time. 256 GB Space Gray.

Was a 3:23 AM confirmation email. Was charged tax/upgrade last night. Scheduled for 11/3 delivery by 3 PM via FedEx. Picked up/scanned at 8:07 AM in Memphis.

What configuration? my confirmation email came through at 3:24 AM for 11/10 - SG 64GB. Was hoping mine would maybe bump up to launch but I'm losing that hope!

Mine is at the same facility and basically saying the same thing as well.

Anyone have any luck with changing your delivery address? I forgot/couldn't change the delivery address when I was checking out during preorder. Not the end of the world since it's going to my parents, but since they're a few states away I'd rather it have come to me so they don't have to ship it.

I called a Verizon rep yesterday and he said he put in a warehouse order to change the address, but I chatted with another rep today to confirm and she said nothing was changed/the guy yesterday probably didn't realize it wasn't possible.

So, just checking in to see if anyone else has tried to do something similar and had any luck?

I just received email confirmation my phone had just been picked up FedEx, deliver by 3pm 11/3, woo-oo. I take back all the bad stuff I said about Verizon :)
 
Anyone with location code N832101? Haven't seen anyone else mention it yet.

Starting to think that's why mine hasn't shipped yet.
