Anyone have any luck with changing your delivery address? I forgot/couldn't change the delivery address when I was checking out during preorder. Not the end of the world since it's going to my parents, but since they're a few states away I'd rather it have come to me so they don't have to ship it.

I called a Verizon rep yesterday and he said he put in a warehouse order to change the address, but I chatted with another rep today to confirm and she said nothing was changed/the guy yesterday probably didn't realize it wasn't possible.

So, just checking in to see if anyone else has tried to do something similar and had any luck?

I had the exact same problem as you.... I recently moved and so my shipping address was different than my billing address. However, at checkout, there was no option to change the shipping address since it was sort of grayed out. I called Verizon as well and they told me to call them to get it changed as soon as I got a shipping confirmation number.

I called them two days ago once I got that shipping number and they put in something called a ticket request to change it in their systems. He also gave me a reference number for the ticket, so when you do that make sure to ask for the reference number. To be safe, I called again the next day to make sure it was completed and the rep was able to look up the ticket reference number and verify the new address. She said it looked good to go on their end and that the info would be relayed to FedEx. I’m just crossing my fingers now that their system works and that I actually still get it on 11/3 and it’s not sent to my old address!

They are definitely able to change the address so just make sure that ask for a confirmation number and I’d recommend calling again later just to be safe that the ticket number is real and in their systems! Hope this helps and good luck!!

Did they think you would still get it on 11/3? I’m in the same situation as you. It’s being sent to my in laws 2 hours away because they are the account holders. Would love to have it changed to my address if it would still get here 11/3.
 
So what color did everyone get? I got the Space Gray 256! Just because I had a white 4 and 4s when they first came out, a rose gold 6 plus, and a Red 7 plus. Since the silver looked kinda white I decided to get the X just because it was darker and a good change I guess. It also matches my Space Gray MacBook Pro kind of hopefully. I also have terrible OCD so I feel the color contrast of the silver back and black screen would bother me too much. And Space Gray is just more visually appealing to me. But I'm super excited to finally have a darker phone. It's a change I'm excited for!
 
Finally got tracking number for 256GB iPhone X. It's coming from Memphis, whereas the 64GB is coming from West Chester, PA.
Seems they are moving in waves of shipments. My phone was in West Chester, PA on Sunday, then yesterday it was moved to Elizabeth, NJ. Verizon must have a stock in PA, then ships them out.
 
Anyone having trouble accessing order status on Verizon's website? It keeps saying there's an internal server error, and try again. I'm a new customer switching from Sprint, so I can't sign up for an online account yet.

I thought Apple treated everyone the same even if they're youtubers. iJustine just posted a video of her unboxing the iPhone X. I thought they had a strict delivery date of 11/3 for EVERYONE. Like I'm not that bothered by it because I get mine in a few days anyways just kinda confused.

They told me it won’t change the 11/3 date. Hoping that’s true! On fedex it still shows 11/3 even though it’s only been sitting in Memphis for the past couple days and doesn’t indicate that it’s heading to my new place yet.

Just called Verizon back to try and make sure the ticket existed, and it did! Got the ticket number so I can check back to see the progress. The lady I talked to said there was a "No promises" comment on the actual ticket, so I'm hoping that I get lucky.

What are the parameters for track by reference for FedEx you guys and gals are using to check?

Is that even working? I know for Apple orders the UPS track by reference is working.
 
Weather forecast for my area the next few days..... not what I want to see....

Expecting anywhere from 5-16 inches depending on elevation by Sunday night...

In the past, I’ve always got the silver, but I decided to change it up this time and go space gray. I sort of regret it as I like the chrome finish look to the bezel. However, I think the space gray is a little more discreet than the louder white phones, so I think I will be happy in that regard. My wife got the silver this go around since they don’t offer a gold or rose gold, so I guess I will find out which one I think looks better.

Some YouTube personalities are receiving review devices for that purpose. It’s good marketing for Apple. The same as traditional tech reviewers. Generally speaking, review units must be returned.

I thought the same thing, but I’m pretty sure it’s because a bunch of the YouTubers got to go to the Apple event this year (they don’t usually) and that allows them to get the phone earlier than most. Like how when big tech site editors get to review the phone a week early because they went to the event as well.
 
took several people's advice and chatted with VZW CS. Got my $30 fee waived. didn't have to try too hard.. but it did take a good 20 minutes. A lot of "can you hold on for a couple of minutes while I..." from the CS rep. But I'm getting a bill credit for the $30.

talking points I used:
-I thought it was getting waived if i pre-ordered online.
-What if i don't want the pre-installed sim, why can't i just pop my iP7's sim.

On her line and then swap out the SIM cards?

Call Verizon and have them make the switch for you. That way they can make sure the IMEI numbers match up in the event the device is lost or stolen they can lock it down without you having to explain what line has what phone.
