I'm in the same boat. Not so secretly hoping that Verizon gets more phones sooner than later and it doesn't take until the 29th to be delivered.

For those with tracking numbers, is it possible to get the tracking number without having access to your order number or account info? My phone was ordered through a company so I don't have access to the system and I'm trying to get info without bothering the IT guys about it. Any suggestions?

Woke up at 2:55am EST for iPhone 8+ and already got shipping notice from FedEx this morning. X will probably be busier on site though, but was easy transaction on my iPad and the VZ app. I'll preorder myself the X at 3am
 
I ordered an Iphone 8 and 8 plus. I got charged yesterday and received my tracking numbers today. Fedex has it noted not to deliver until 9/22. Has anyones phones ever come earlier then the release date?
 
I ordered Friday afternoon (issues with my initial order at 2am CDT) and still nothing 🙁

My confirmation email says expected delivery as the 22nd but my order status says the 22nd is the expected ship date. Unfortunately since I'm switching to Verizon and am considered a new customer there's not much else that I can access yet.

Maybe call them like 5 minutes before preorders start on the x, just talk to them about their day so you get a rep before orders start 😛

Silly question but does Fed Ex ever deliver prior to 8 am?, I go to the gym every morning between 7:30 and 8:30 and figured I would go a bit earlier so I would not miss the delivery. Don't want to skip the gym but also do not want to miss the delivery.

FedEx and UPS are aware of the iPhone deliveries so they add extra drivers/routes just for iPhones. The year I pre-ordered my iPhone 5 it was the earliest UPS delivery I ever received.

It really depends...last year I vaguely recall getting my iPhone 7 + pretty early on in the day.
 
So, I've been through the debacle of pre-ordering/patiently (or impatiently) waiting for my phone to ship. (Last year it shipped on a friday and I didn't receive it until Tuesday). BUT, I just went to pre-order for a 9/29 delivery and myverizon told me that I can just "pre-order" the phone for in-store pick-up as soon as 9/22. If this is correct I am extremely stoked. Anyone else seeing this?

VZ confirmed this is true. I will order at midnight/ 3:00 am EST on Thursday, pick up in the morning. Hopefully there's one for me.
