our store had 7 in line at opening and no phones at all, they apparently didn't get their shipment. they took our names and numbers and said they will call if they come in today or else pre-order ours. if they dont come in today i don't plan on ordering any and will just wait for the 7.My verizon store was empty with plenty of regular 6s stock
That's how it should be. iOS 9 slows down your phone, the new phone is heavier, smaller battery... and people are waiting in line for it?
I didn't know you were in Boston. I'm there too. But I didn't go to the launch though.
Crowds do seem to be down as compared to other iPhone launches. My wife works across the street from the boylston apple store in Boston and she only started seeing people camping out yesterday. Prior years people were there days/weeks before the roll out.

So what is the exact number that defines a dry from wet launch? Just pulling your dry leg.Dry as in this is the first time that I've seen my local COR AT&T store have only one customer by 7:00am. Normally there'd be like 50 people at minimum.
ThisIt's not a secret why, now that you can pre-order it or make a reservation there is absolutely zero reason to wait in line.
You only qualify for $49 deal if you order thru Next.Decided to pass by AT&T store in San Antonio 5 minutes before opening. Line was about 7 or so. Walked right in as they opened and got 6S Plus in Silver (64gb). I thought for sure I would have to wait for awhile for this configuration and was upset I didn't pre-order. I feel much better now.
Also, AT&T had a one-day special and I got an iPad Mini 2 for $49.00. Not a bad day.
