I've had the same luck, Luis, but like you I'm not a heavy user.

Good news, apparently TDK, an Apple battery supplier, has a breakthrough for wearable batteries with 100x the energy density of what they offer now.

If that's a 1:1 performance ratio, then an AW with the current battery's size would last... 1800 hours? (conservatively). Which comes out to... 75 days??

Apple Watch Ultra is 100% battery life but lasts significantly less time than when new and also drains when not on very quickly. Same thing with my IPhone 14 Pro which is even worse.

My Ultra 1 has been draining quickly lately, and I have no explanation as to why. I’m on the latest software update, using the same watch faces I always use, and don’t have ceullular, handwashing, or noise levels turned on. I can barely make it through two days, and that’s with only a single half hour walking workout recorded. Battery health is at 95%. I know this is about the battery life that’s advertised from Apple (36 hours), but I used to be able to easily last 3 days when this was new and even just a couple months ago. Very frustrating.

You can try to hard reboot both iPhone and watch
Another trick that works sometimes it to change the city list in weather app.
On mine, after a unpair/pair to fix another issue, it started to drain battery faster.
After updating my weather city list, it went back to normal
Most of these draining issues come from sync problems between iPhone and watch

How about an iWatch with two weeks battery life? If Huawei can produce smartwatches with up to 3 days smart mode and up to 2 weeks of ultra-long battery life why can't Apple do the same? Apple's goal for battery life is 18 hours after an overnight charge! Time they set new goals for their developers to focus on.

The reason Chinese watches and phones have extremely long battery life is that everything you have to pay for has to be done via your phone or watch so a long battery life is absolutely essential.

Been offered a S7 Graphite SS 45mm for £155. Only problem is the watch has 80% batt capacity. Is it worth purchasing or will I see poor batt performance?

Turning off Always On display got my Ultra 1 running latest beta (11.0 22R5348a) back to reasonably-normal battery life.

After 22 months battery capacity is 87% but I also use the hell out it. Sleep tracking almost every night and daily workout average of 3hr 35min over the past year. 💪. Got my money’s worth out of it.

My Ultra 1 battery life has gone in the toilet with the upgrade to OS 11. It used to drop about 40-45% in 24 hours on OS 10 and now that drain is close to 75-80%. Update was done on release day...

My S10 was fully charged at 08:38 this morning and is completely dead at 14:50. My activity? Sitting at my desk and grabbing an occasional drink from the kitchen, this feels defective…

Same issue on a brand new S10. Force power off / on and issue was instantly fixed.

Now battery life is 33 hours, about 10-15% improved from my S9 if I remember right.

Me too! I’ve been using it for two weeks with no complaints then suddenly today the battery is is a bad as my old SE which is why I upgraded in the first place. What happened????

omg same here! I thought I was going crazy...this started happening yesterday, S10 started draining twice as fast, I did reboot, power charged overnight but that hasn't fixed this issue, I even removed GPS tracking apps - what happened???

I literally thought I was the only one. I have S10 and 5 days after I got it the battery started going from 100 to 20 in like 10 hours without even working out. I took it to the Apple Store and I just managed to replace it as it was within 14 days since I bought it. Guess what, the same thing is happening with the new S10 too. Both set up as new devices…

Yesterday, after 16 hours, I had 47% battery left.

Today, after 6 hours, completely dead.

It's been like this since day 2 or 3.

Has anyone talked the Apple?

go to settings on watch turn off live activities then go to photo settings in watch app turn off photo syncing. short term solution until the apple dev get his or hers act together.apple battery life should meet as per the product advertisement this is why we or I purchased an Ultra 2 and live activity was a key point in the latest OS11 release but it’s definitely having a negative impact on battery performance. prior to turning off live activities and photo sync i was not getting much more than a day as opposed to 3 days prior to updating to OS11 . my daily use is just one workout for an hour and perhaps max 7 calls. hope it is of some help as i’m now back to 3 days as of this morning. watch is ultra 2 100% capacity

The problem is probably with something wrong on your iPhone
Something that syncs continuously to your watch.

There is SEVERE bug in watchOS 11 with battery drain. This is my battery just 8h sitting at home. As you can see it drains HARD - only solution to this is to hard reboot (hold 2 side buttons until apple logo appears). I have to repeat that step after few days. This is S10.

I think you are right!!! In my case it was “Move it” app….I started getting notifications on my watch (and I haven’t for 10 days prior when my battery was great) I think shutting down my GPS tracking and notifications for this particular app solved both battery drainage on my phone (that I thought was caused by iOS18) and my watch!!! The issue resolved after couple of hrs of updating preferences (not immediately) and so I haven’t noticed a difference at first - but today I woke up to a completely different battery life 🙏

90% of battery problems come from something wrong between iOS and watchOS
watchOS bugs that cause battery drain are very uncommon
