I got a european-style license plate for the front of my Saab that matches my Illinois plate numbers. I'm tickled pink!

n31403246_31840733_2902.jpg

Can somebody from the EU comment on the authenticity? Being in America I could only go by the word of the manufacturer.

If you're talking about the blue box on the left hand side, then yes, that is correct.

As for the numbers/letters formatting, then it varies dependent on country. The font doesn't look the same as the UK, but then I think that varies on country as well.

Like mrock says, there are a lots of variations through the countries that make up the EU.

The UK ones are white at the front of the car and yellow at the back. Also, the blue box on the left side is optional in the UK. A lot of cars don't have it, the EU isn't very popular over here :)

I got a black MacBook! My parents told me that I was going to get a white one because I had to pay for part of it but when I opened it I saw a black one on the box. Before this I was using a PowerBook G3 400 MHz.

-iPod touch (!!! Totally didn't expect this, but totally cool!!)
-290 Euros for my upcoming study abroad trip to Italy
-Phi Sigma Pi shirts
-History of Rock DVDs
-3 other movies - Rudy, Ghostbusters, and Hot Rods
-Digital picture frame that's also an alarm clock (totally going to use this)
-iTunes gift card
-A bunch of new socks (my current ones - not doing so hot)
-Gloves! No more cold hands!
-An umbrella (i busted out my umbrella at school the first time it was raining and it was totally mangled. Thankfully, it was only raining water.)

All in all, a VERY good christmas!

Me and my sister (we're 20 and 24) teamed up to get our parents a Wii. I'm not sure how much they'll use it, but they'll probably bust it out at various parties to impress friends. They seemed pretty excited about it though!

- The Bourne Ultimatum dvd
- Live Free or Die hard dvd
- Bob Dylan cd (Dylan)

It means the WORLD to me!

To you guys & gals .... it doesn't seem like much.

But what I got for xmas (besides some Bailey's, a health book, and a kiss from the missus) cannot be valuated any other way.

Almost every month this past year I've worked 60hr weeks - mostly 3/4wks / mth, up to even 2 mths (1 with 5 wks) and working 7.5/9wks. I have hardly anything to show for it. PS3 is cool; debt is significantly reduced!

But to me the following was MY gift. All that working hard - reduced debt and allowed for future possibilities to be in site. but most of all was having my KIDS get those expensive most wanted gifts (besides the filler us parents usually must resort too - not middle class just below) that they ACTUALLY wanted. TO see the smiles on their faces ... see that comfortable grin of elation. To hear that "Thank you Mommy & Daddy, you're the greatest!"; when it really meant "Thank you, I love you Sooo much"!

I've gone through 3 cellphones (2 new) this year. The BB Pearl I sold for the SAME amount as I bought it for, allowing me only to spend $100 for a new one. I don't have my mini music studio yet. I don't even own a Mac but have wanted one for YEARS! Something to the tune of 4-5 years now!

Not too long ago, my wife & I went through some hard times together - being seperated for some time - and we got back together. Although I always wonder if its forever, I'm glad to have her now for as long as it'll last! This past year in review ... it looks like it'll be a VERY VERY long time indeed. I love my kids (BOTH of them - 1 non-biological, the other is) I helped raised them. I'm not a perfect dad, far from it. I may bellow - a jerk I know but hardly now - and I don't beat them (despite what is usually accepted in my culture, and my past trials with my own parents). I strive to make THEIR lives better than mine was before adulthood. My kids are AWESOME! very few sibling rivalry - but I know they really LOVE each other.

So this holiday season remember what is MOST precious to you - not these worldly tangibles - but the ones you love and those that love you, help you, and genuinely care for you! Parents don't take for granted those times when you're about to 5second jump the street light and you're child (less than 10) reminds you its not time to cross - even though holding your hand. Sure you would've NOT been hit by a car ... but its a HUGE step to realize that your child IS listening to your teachings of safety - even if its seems to go in 1 ear and out the other, lol .

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Everyone!

PS ... now give me my iMac 20" and a MBP 15.4". ;) :apple:

Nearly every frat member I've met is a complete douchebag

Agreed. I never wanted to be in a Fraternity (you don't call your country a **** so don't call your fraternity a "frat". However, don't judge until you experience. Our fraternity is all about what they were originally supposed to be for...becoming a gentleman. Yes we are a social Fraternity but every single guy in it is a quality person, unlike those 'other' fraternitys on campus.

My parents donated $1000 towards my iMac, which I bought during the Black Friday sale, but it is a Christmas present. This was the only thing I asked for... but apparently my mom feels guilty if I don't have things to open on Christmas, and she went way over board this year, but I'm really thankful.

-a bunch of books (I've been off of work for almost 7 months because I herniated a disk in my back at work... so I've been doing a lot of reading)

-a vintage freshwater pearl necklace

-latest seasons of Greys Anatomy and House DVDs, newest Harry Potter movie

-Sims 2 Pets, University, and Seasons (again... to pass time)

-an argyle sweater

-bulldog paraphernalia (I got a bulldog last January... and people seem to think that you'll love anything and everything that has a bulldog on it )

-$150 from my grandma, which I'll be using to buy some fish for an empty tank and a new light bulb & background for the tank
