Cell phone
...into a washing machine, while still in that little "mini-pocket" in my jeans. I rescued it before the machine started to gyrate, but it had already gotten wet. ...ruined it, and voided the warranty.

I dropped a friends baby
well she caught it. barely
EVERYONE knows not to give me kids to hold, cant stand them.
so she places this baby in my arms unexpectedly , and it starts to squirm, I let go. she realized a split sec before WHO she gave it to hold.

most expensive thing I ever dropped was a 80K emerald...

5th Gen U2 Special Edition iPod. Dropped numerous times on the carpeted floor at the office and on concrete coming out of my car.

Luckily it is in a Contour hard case, and it saved it. Not a scratch.

I recon the baby is more expensive. :p

I've dropped my 5th gen 30GB iPod way too many times. Thankfully, I have a very sturdy aluminum case with padding on the inside protecting it. The case is beat up and scratched up, but the iPod is still in pretty decent shape. It has popped out a couple of times and picked up some scratches, though. It still makes me cringe every time it happens.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. A co-worker and I dropped a 40" LCD TV while hanging it. The screen looked ok until we hooked it up and powered it up. It was severely cracked.

Dropped/thrown every cell phone I have ever had. That includs dropping my 3G the day I got it. The only other thing important (read expensive) I've dropped was an alienware laptop and I didn't really drop it, it fell out of my backpack when the zipper decided to unzip itself.

Ok i am yet to drop my macs (hope it stays that way) What i have dropped

1. My Motorola Razor V3xx, I either drop this or it falls out of my pocket. Which ever comes first

2. My nokia ( sorry can't remember the model) This one i accidentally dropped whilst walking down some stairs at a business function, my phone bounced all the way down and lay there with it's "insides" on the floor. Still works tho!

3. My Old toshiba A33, that was dropped off the side of my bed, well rather slide off and caused some minor damage to the side. this was back in 2004.

Other then that, the odd glass and plate

My hand eye coordination is terrible, and my balance is worse then that. (literally almost nothing.) So I've dropped nearly everything I've ever owned.

The exception so far is my netbook, but it's only a matter of time.

I used to drop my BlackBerry - constantly. I have since switched away from it, but the case is separating from the constant falls.

HP dv4000 laptop on marble floor. NOTHING happened. It was one of those thick laptops, built like a tank. I kinda miss it actually :(

BB Storm. Funny story behind it. I was *trying* to take a picture of something moving fast and i was running at the same time. I hit a speed bump (didnt see it lol) and phone went flying forward. But its still in perfect condition and theres only 3 scratches from it.

I dropped a PowerBook G4 17" 1Ghz 4Gb RAM, might not sound much but it was new then.. and only two weeks old. I dropped it/kinda fell from the twenty-third floor! On collection there was nothing left!!! Even the HD was bent outta shape

My HP laptop slipped off the bed today and landed on the plug that connects to the computer. The plug broke but I have an extra one from an old HP laptop that I threw accross the room a few years ago so I'm not too worried about it. Laptop is very strong, it's slipped off the bed a few times and nothing ever happened. It's one great thing about HP laptops, they are tanks.

My PC laptop, 3 separate times.

First time, the palmrest cracked, replaced it for super cheap.
Second time, the back of the screen hinge dented. Still closed fine and I couldn't see it anyway so whatever.
Third time, scuff marks on the top of the screen back.

I really shouldn't use the computer in bed...

I have found the smaller it is the more it gets dropped. The worst being those screws inside those iBooks, gosh they are tiny. I wonder why I prefer compact flash over anything else? Well it is the biggest right? (becises SSD's)

That could have been a disaster! Luckily you caught the emerald.
