"Space bunnies must die!" from -98.
The concept looked fun and my GF pushed to buy it.

On an pc at minimum spec this was a real nightmare. Full of glitches, sometimes you could only see the terrain. Tried for several hours to at least get to do something, somehow. I think I got to kill one rabbit, without seeing it.

But the package looked "Preacher" cool. :)

And before you accuse me of the overwatch camping strategy, I would like to say that I played very fast and loose with my team. My whole beef with XCOM 2 isn't the timers alone, or the abundance of tanky enemies, but the fact that those two are combined.
Looks like War of the Chosen will address many of your concerns, including an option to double the timers on timed missions:

Master of Orion III for me. I kept trying to play it, thinking I was missing something, but in the end I came to the conclusion that it was just ridiculously dull after all. £35 I'll never get back.

The moment I saw the word Llama ... I knew it was a Jeff Minter game. To give the man credit, he had a vision and he followed it through. LLAMAS WITH EVERYTHING!

Jeff Minter is still going strong, releasing games for iOS and other platforms, starring a narrow variety of ruminants.

He now lives in Wales with his partner Ivan, and of course, several yaks llamas.

Fun fact: He had himself genetically altered to resemble his favourite (at that time) ruminant - Yaks.
Mr. Minter is indeed a legend. I don't know if you follow him on Twitter, but his "I'm on the train" threads are quite excellent :D

It's not a bad game, the single-player is worth playihng, but 2K really ****ed over Battleborn's potential.

I would have to say FitBit.

Not only is my avatar lazy, but instead of leveling-up and getting greater abilities with time, I find he is slowing down!

I decided to post a brief comment on American Truck Simulator (which I purchased on sale) and I eyed Farm Simulator 17, but resisted purchase. There is some part of me that imagines these games as being really fun, but when I actually got into the trucking sim, I found it to be boring. How many loads can you haul from one pseudo-city to another? I started in San Diego and it's nothing like San Diego and drove to San Francisco, a 10 minute drive, and that's even worse. Before purchase I imagined these locations as fleshed out cities, with something approaching a realistic layout. At the same time, I realized would I really want to drive 7 hours from one location to another, looking at generic landscapes? For Farm Simulator I read about taking 45 minutes to plow a field and said.... no. Besides possible relaxation, what is the payoff? These are not really fleshed out multipurpose worlds. You haul your load and get paid; you plow your field, plant, harvest, sell, rinse and repeat.

OK, maybe these are not the worst games in the world, but they don't really suit me.

Can't think of any PC game...

PAC-MAN for The Atari 2600...

Luckily, a few weeks later, the cart went out and was able to get a full refund (my Mom, anyways).

OK, that was pretty poor, BUT - ET on the 2600. I mean c'mon...

Uncharted 4. HATE THAT GAME! Its like a really really boring tomb raider without any form of atmosphere.
Also the new Doom is a pale imposter of Doom 2 as far as clever level design goes. I mean it looks good but nothing clever or interesting about the level design.

The list goes on. Everything disappoints me only game I'm interested in now is Destiny 2, Mario & BOTW.

I was arsed into buying ATS's older brother, Euro Truck Simulator 2, by raving reviews on several sites when it was dead cheap at some time, and absolutely agree. The games are looking quite nice occasionally, but are dull as heck. I don't see the appeal in a game that forces you to stand 10 minutes in a traffic jam in front of a traffic light. How is that fun?

I was also disappointed. I wasn't hoping for Borderlands-like fun and replayability but Battleborn seemed so generic. The characters weren't very unique and some of the missions were LONG.

For some reason, they had to battle "Overwatch" which the game was compared to being the same, which it is not at all...

Time an effort was spent doing that, rather than developing the game...

I love Battleborn, hate Overwatch (played both).

True.... I feel the same way. I played the heck out of the original Civilization when it was new, and had friends who did too. That game caused a lot of us to stay up all night until the sun came up because we were so involved with it.

I started disliking the newer versions, though I kept wanting to believe in them, enough to keep buying a few of them including III and V.

The graphics improved but I just wasn't enjoying playing them anymore.

Absolute worst game I paid for though? Man .... I dunno. I can think of a few. On the Mac, True Crime: Streets of LA would be one of them. I paid full retail for that off a store shelf only to find it was literally unplayable on any of my Macs. Kept crashing and on one system would just go to a solid black screen and freeze.

I am going to agree with you here.
I have played the original Civilization (I) through to V and with every release from III I have become more and more disinterested. I gave Civ VI a go and it moulders unplayed.

IMHO, somewhere along the line the magic was lost.
