I have a scar on my hairline from when I was about 2 or 3 that I ran into a dresser or something. (I don't remember, was told this from my mom).

Then, I have a scar on my knee; This one I do remember. I was about 5 or 6, and I was riding my bicycle along the road. Well, I got to a turn in the road (T junction?). It was in our community in India, so the actual streets were paved, and other than that, there was no sidewalk on that side. So, I turned a little too close to the curb, and my front tire slid off the pavement (It was a good 4" from the actual dirt ground to the street), and my knee banged on the pavement. Oh god, my knee was cut open, I could see my bone, blood...everything basically. My parents were also getting ready for a party, so it wasn't exactly the best time. I don't think I went to the hospital though...Don't remember too much from it.

i had aterrible mishap at the highway in 2004.. i had three broken ribs fractured arm and leg.. i cudn't from the bed for 6 months

those were the most painful and agonizing days of my life.... but with motivation from my familyand friends.. i took the challenge and today am perfectly fit..

:D
i once fell from my balcong 20 ft, head first.. was in the hospital for 3 weeks..

now i am fine and fit but thats just a memory which reminds me how lucky i am to be alive

Little rdowns getting caught in a zipper.
Dislocated elbow and shoulder- ****ing tequila.

Was it the frank or the beans?

I have a scar above my left eyebrow because I had to get stitches when I was about 3. You know when your mom tells you to stop running around the house or else you'll fall and hit your head on something and hurt yourself? She's not lying.

There was this time I broke my arm blocking a kickball.

About 7 surgeries and 6 years later I was finally done with that mess..

Rolled under a big rig at the intersection of 5 and 405 on graduation day. Same big rig rolled over my bike but not me (I was lucky). Almost died at the hospital. They shouldn't have been taking emergency cases because their facilities and supplies were in transit to a new building.

Not much to show for it. Maybe if I got a bigger scar, I'd stop being stupid.

I was playing football at school. I dived for the ball; as did my friend. His forehead ended up smashing my nose, and I broke my nose... Not fun...

Concussions (many, lost count at 20) mostly minor, but one in high school where my ears bled. All from football in HS and college, initially, but now if I hit the sides or the back of my head, boom, concussed.

Also, cracked ribs.
Torn abdominal muscle (incredibly painful. you can't do ANYTHING without your midsection. Even dropping a deuce was vicious)
Sprained ankles
Broken left wrist

I haven't actually broken my bones so far. Though I am a rather aggressive skier...so far so good

My worst accident would probably be when the T-Bar rope I was on actually snapped. Dad and I were thrown backwards onto the near ice conditions and ploughed into the people behind us. Eventually we managed to slide to the sides of the T-Bar lift after knocking a few more people in the process...they thought I damaged my hip :(.

As for the loosened T-Bar, it rocketed down like a giant anchor taking out people on its fatal downhill run (it was pretty messy), resting in the lift line and knocking a few people back in the process

So by the end I was taken down in the stretcher by ski patrol, others either on the ground or trying to get themselves up.

More reason to despise T-Bars and INSTALL GODDAM CHAIRLIFTS like every good resort should. (This was at Thredbo by the way, for any one familiar it was just before the final bump on Antons....)

Honestly- nothing, really. Which is strange, because I'm quite athletic and a daredevil. I was a skydiver for three years, danced for six, and I've been lifting weights most of my life. I've even been hit by a car and in a train wreck.

I better knock on wood.

If you ride the metra or cta, you are bound to be in an accident once in your life.

I was injury free into my 40s until I started a skateboard deck business and sometimes tried out my gear.

I fractured skull at least once and had too many concussions to remember but it was over five. Lasting damage was loss of balance to the point of falling, loss of memory and concentration, mood swings, excessive drowsiness, numbness in limbs, and nausea. The symptoms have mostly subsided except for memory and concentration loss.

That being said, I loved the years I skated more than any other sport and I should have listened to all those 30+ year old ex-skaters who turned to surfing and greatly reduced injury.

As I grew up:
16 stitches to a gash in head from roughhousing.
6 week cast for breaking my index finger metacarpal bone playing soccer.
Broke my pinky metacarpal bone, but only had a brace.

Past 4 years:
Crashed my bicycle twice and needed stitches for big gashes in the same ankle. 14 stitches the first time, 8 the second.

Now it looks like I have a through-and-through wound on my ankle. I tell people the kickstand went through my ankle for fun.
It HAS gotten me a date.

1) Tore all the ligaments in my right knee while snowboarding. The worst part was it was senior year, so I had to wear a knee brace under my prom dress. But I was a total boss (moron) and still wore heels.

2) A car almost ran me off the road while I was on my motorcycle, and I locked my brakes trying to avoid the crash, and thusly went flying over the handlebars of my bike superman style. Broke my wrist, cracked a rib, and knocked one of my boobs so bad it bruised. I kid you not.

I have to say, I've basically become too vain to keep riding my motorcycle. There are so many crappy drivers on the road, and I'm paranoid about cracking a tooth or getting bad road rash or something because someone else is blind or stupid. And I always wore full gear. All the people I used to ride with were safe, levelheaded riders, and everyone crashes at least a few times, but it's a part of the deal I'm not that into at the moment. I'll probably go back to it in the future, but for now, I've hung up my helmet.

I fell down some concrete stairs as an infant, I split my nose right open and everything.

Wow, that really sucks. Of all times to have that happen, on prom?

Heck, if you were a guy and some football star 6'5" linebacker, you could walk around prom with a cast/brace on and wear it as a badge of courage. I remember some guy in the 1980s doing that at prom. People thought he was cool and all the girls there wanted to dance with him so I wondered if he was really hurt. :)

Only one. It started pouring while me and my buddy were out on the boat and we were rushing it. When putting it on the trailer it was going on cocked (apparently) so he started pulling it backward and the crank started whipping freely and it jolted me right in the middle of the face in between the eyes. Had to get stitches.... I'm lucky it didn't upper cut under my nose and shove it into my head, lol.

Oh and I cut myself shaving once. :p

It was painful but I consider it a good painful injury.:) Some stitches on my lip (inside my mouth, that is) discolored my lower lip as if I got into a bar fight a night before; but, on the bright side, I lost about 8 lbs during the recovery (and stayed that way since then) as I could not eat that much. I was able to bring down my BMI by 2 points to settle around 20.

Broke my right pelvis in six places 8 years ago in a motorcycle accident.

Got shot in the face while I was getting robbed one month ago.

But nothing major. lol
