a friend of mine (female...kinda ditzy) went on my computer, was apple to bring up the dock, only to ask me...

"where's the internet?"

note...i use safari :D she thought that internet explorer was the only thing that used the internet

:D maybe i should add to these questions even asking me out. i'm too mac person to go out with a pc user ... and it feels soooo damn good to answer "soddy dude, get a computer.." when they are just trying to take a girl out and impress her with their lousy dell... dell no, no pc users for me!!! ;)

Haha! that's kool .. made me remember my signature in appleinsider:

Choose a Mac. Choose iPod, Keynote, Safari, high caffeine and no sleep. Choose matching signatures. Choose the threads in a range of fscking arguments. Choose no one in your vB buddylist. Choose Stevewear, dsl and your neighbors bandwidth. Choose sitting behind your Mac looking at mind-numbing, spirit-crushing flames, rotting away at the end of it all, pishing your last in some miserable flaming, nothing more than embarassment to the selfish, fscked up lusers that dial up with AOL. Choose AppleOutsider.

Recently, at my birthday party, someone brought over a CD with some MPG files of others at the party in somewhat compromising situations (doing odd things playing a variant of Truth or Dare, and such things). Well, I popped the disk into my iBook, plugged it into my TV, and we watched the movies on the TV. Everyone was really impressed by that, but the best part was that one person fell in love with the Dock. He kept wanting me to move the mouse pointer over the Dock again and again, so that he could watch it zooming. Then he asked his wife why they didn't have a Dock on their computer. She said 'Well, we have Windows."

Another Spanish PC pirate faux pas.

He asks if I can open this .exe file. I say no I havent got the software yet.

He looks at me with his smug "Mac is crap grin", so I ask him when his birthday is.

UH?

Tell me when your birthday is and I'll start saving for a nice present for you - by the way where do you think Ill get the best deal on some software that will let your PC emulate my Mac?

I have got a new one, I was talking to a very pro-PC person, and he was like "Why would I want a new ipod? Its too light and its ugly"
Yea, it's always bad when things you carry around are too light...

I have a very honest PC friend, who used to ask a lot of dumb questions, but I have shown him the light. His last question wasn't a bad question, just a shockling honest one.

After showing him iMovie 3, he asked: "So, when is Microsoft going to steal this and put it into Movie Maker."

I died laughing. :) Too bad its true.

heh. they're just jealous because they can't afford it. it's like pen|s envy, only reversed.

i know it was a joke. i was just turning the joke back on you. sorry, forgot to put ice-breaking smilies on it, i fixed it now though.

I was telling a friend that OSX has less viruses for that platform when compared to XP.

He said he would go and find a virus and give it to me on disk so i could "willingly" infect my machine.

This was 3 weeks ago, i'm still waiting...

On a windows machine all i would need to do is open Kazaa.

Sorry to double post but this one time me and my friends were discussing macs because one of our friends was getting a new laptop so of course i was bating for the Apple side while my other friend was bating for windows.

My friend while in discussion went on to say that "With macs you cannot do anything".

I replied by asking "What do you want to do"?

"Play games".

While this is true to an extent, you don't spend £1300 on a windows machine to play games when there are consoles for sale for less than 10% of the price in my country.

Anyway Command & Conquer Generals and Diablo2 must be that good to warrant a wintel! In the end he bought a 15" Toshiba...what a waste.

Btw the title of this thread should be "PC users stupid questions and statments".
