Wow, INNOVATION.
How about a freakin adjustable brightness or colours for the nightstand mode? I have mine close to my bed in order to be able to tap the night stand, and man it's blinding. And this is on the first gen watch, i can imagine the 2nd gen is worse since its got a brighter screen.
That would be useful. This would almost put a toggle in the watchOS Control Center, which means you wouldn't even need to leave the clock face.
Amazing it took til version 3.1.3 to even include this feature, Android's had this from the start and can't imagine how annoying it must be to have the thing light up all the time.
Android wear 2.0 coming out next month is going to be raising the bar for Apple again by the look of it so will be interesting to see what new features they bring to keep these guys up to date.
It'll be one of those situations where they'll go out of their way to develop technology like "3d touch" to sell a phone, like long presses haven't been on Android since forever. If a Dark Mode eventually exists—exclusively for iPhone 8, I will be a very pissed Apple fanboy...
Reading comprehension may not be your strong suit.Hilarious, a "theater" mode on the failing iWatch.
Why? Are people watching movies on the iWatch simply because it is an Apple product?
(like middle aged white men now suddenly listen to, enjoy, and defend, rap and hip hop "music"... simply because it is the "Apple-thing" to do).
Oh well, at least this ensures job security for eye doctors...
Isn't that how they measure heart rate, measuring the oxygen in the blood, to measure flow and therefore HR?
There's also a sensor build into the first generation of the Apple Watch models, that is capable of reading the oxygen level in your blood, it is also not activated, it's cool to have tho ;p

so, it's hard to measure blood flow, but I thought the technology was to SEE the oxygen IN the blood and measure that pace.. can you link to any further technical analysis of this?Nope, pulse rates are calculated by constantly measuring the volume of blood, not the oxygen level.
Not sure iFixit was right about that. The Apple Watch has green and IR LEDs, but no red.
Green+IR is usually used for measuring volume (pulse) on a wrist.
Red+IR is usually what is used for reading oxygen levels.
That said, anything is possible.

The "Wake Screen on Wrist Raise" ON/OFF control panel is only three levels deep (Settings/General/Wake Screen).
I use the "Wake Screen on Wrist Raise" ON/OFF control panel frequently, so in my case it is only two steps to get to that control panel. I push the side button to bring up the dock and tap the screen which is already showing the correct control panel since it is the only one I regularly use.Actually more than three, since (chances are) you’ll need to leave the clock face, then go to Settings.
Because some people are just so desperate for an interface that's scientifically proven to be hard on the eyes that they'll believe that every and anything reported by MacRumors is a sign of dark mode. How anyone translated "Theatre Mode" into "Dark Mode" is beyond me.
