Great mod to an already great lockscreen!

Big thanks to Angelman08 and Claude626!

I have one question...pretty much from what I read it's already been asked on the LockMS thread...

Similar to the weather forecast request...but with integrated calendar...similar to the HTC lockinfo plug-in. Is this possible? Or does this go beyond what you can do through html?

Example:
When you're using HTC plug-in...I have my settings to display both calendar and forecast. If I press on the date...a dropdown calendar appears...if I press on the weather...a forecast appears...I think it would be great if this could somehow be integrated.

I don't believe these type of web-based themes can be "interactive" where you can do things with it. What you are talking about are Cydget themes or themes applied by another plugin that runs natively. SlantedLock is a web-based theme.

I stand corrected. Interactivity IS possible... and I'll be looking into that. :)

Not sure why but the weather icon seems to always be displaying wrong on my phone since using this theme. For instance it shows a moon right now and its the afternoon. It was working find earlier. It was buggin out last night too.

Could it be an AM vs PM setting?

first thing I checked, everything is set up correctly on my end. when I reset the settings and respring it works correctly but then a few hours later it shows up wrong again. Maybe I will just remove everything and start from scratch and see if it helps.

I noticed this, too. mostly happens with accuWeather.

I had verify it a few times to make sure my script wasn't wrong. It wasn't. The RSS feed says that icon. It can be said that the icon set is off?(i recall someone from the old thread alludes to this issue)

Love this theme. Thank you very much for creating it.

Question: How can I get weather for a Canadian city, namely Vancouver to show up? What is this WOEID business for yahoo? Some help would be greatly appreciated.

go to http://weather.yahoo.com/

Type in your city in search bar, then in the address bar you should see a. 8 digit number at the end. that is your WOEID. Not sure if it works for non-US cities?

Any way to fix it that when you open the configuration page it does not reset all the options back to default (ie. it remembers the settings)?

There is, but it was going to take a lot of work to just get that feature, so I ditched it. I figure, it's not used a whole lot--most folks would set and forget.

Claude,

how do i edit the CSS file to "center" text.....

I want the Month,or day to be centered so when a long month or short month comes,it wont run off edge of screen....

so i want to apply this to the day and months...i like the older style as it looks nicer IMO so i want to make the days and months stay on the screen.

thanks!

The Clock and Month is centered--always. Which is why August and September has the same padding on both ends to the edge of the screen.

The date(3) is fixed. The day(Friday) is right aligned to the fixed date, so it will grow leftward if it gets long, but always keeping the same spacing between it and the date. The year is left aligned to the fixed date, so it will grow right(as if it needs to) AND it will shift INWARD to the date when there is a single digit or shift OUTWARD when the date is double digit--always keeping the same spacing between it and the date.

Not sure how else you would like these to behave. The long months such as September was intended to run off the edge just a bit on the end characters. Similarly, the clock runs off the edge also when it's displaying full 4 digits.

You can edit these in the CSS by tweaking the size and positioning.

Not sure what this Real Feel setting is on Accuweather but with it enabled it is showing the temperature to be 95 when it is actually 85. When I disable Real Feel, the temperature shows up as 85.

I think I will stick with Yahoo weather... it doesn't seem to be having the issues that Accuweather has.

Some people prefer Real Feel feature. That value is calculated based on the measured temperature and the other attributes of the weather condition... like humidity, wind condition, pressure, etc.

EDIT: I don't write that calculation. It's a feature offered by AccuWeather.

I've got an odd problem... I can't get the weather to show up on my lockscreen, but I know I have the settings correct as if I preview the lockbackground.HTML in ifile I can see the weather working on there - just isn't showing on lock.

Anyone got any ideas?

Try: respring. then lock, and unlock.

It may take a bit on first initialize.
