if you are going to end up buying a case for it.

For one, it's hideous no matter how nice you think the case looks. It destroys the look and feel of the iPhone. What's the point of choosing an iPhone color if it's going to be your case that determines the color of it?

Also, it nullifies the smooth rounded edges of the iPhone. Any case will ruin the feel and hold of the iPhone. If you appreciate the aesthetics of an iPhone and the form factor, why buy a case? It's only going to add layers of unwanted thickness.

You're pretty much using a Galaxy with iOS buy utilizing a case. Nobody would even know you're using an iPhone.

Lets keep it natural if you're going to be using an iPhone 6.

This would then apply to every iPhone that has been released not just the iPhone 6. It might be difficult for you to grasp this, but I prefer a case on my iPhone, every model I have had from 3G to 5, because I find the naked phone too slippery to hold comfortably. And this is the exact reason that I have never worried about what color my phone is because 99.9% of the time it will be under a case so I just get whatever color they have in stock or whatever color they bring out of the back of the store. If I listed the features of my phone in order of importance color would be at the bottom of the list.

I bought a case that DOESN'T EVEN HAVE THE APPLE LOGO CUTOUT!

How will people know!?

The cases that have the logo cutout drive me insane. It just looks like you (or the case manufacturer I suppose) are going out of their way to advertise what phone you have as if it matters on some level.

Really? Then how come everyone who owns an Apple product will say "Let me check my iPhone" instead of "Let me check my phone" or "It's on my Mac/Macbook" instead of "It's on my computer/laptop"?

Everyone? I have never heard someone say "let me check my mac/macbook/etc." and it is more common to hear someone say "my phone" instead of "my iPhone". As someone who owns an apple product who doesn't do this I kind of proved your "everyone" theory wrong.

I will say that I have noticed with tablets everything is an iPad according to most people.

Hey! I guess you're really special then. You totally stand out.

PS

See you at Starbucks later.

OP needs to change the thread title to "There is really no point in reading this thread"

Space Gray 6 Plus + PRODUCT(RED) leather case = stunning. It actually makes the phone look BETTER.

They got beat by my gold iPhone iP6 + Apple white silicon case = Apple's 24k Easter Egg of the Year, a real iPhone Copycats Killer Combo #.

OP's opinion is worse than the smell of horse manure lol.

OP is right. My leather case for my 6+ has made my purchase pointless as I cannot overtly advertise to the world that I'm using an iPhone. I will promptly return my iPhone and case and go buy an HTC Whatever.

There is really no point in getting any phone, if you are going to end up buying a case for it.

Even if some people aka some misguided iPhone owners bought gigantic ugly and tacky-branded cases for their gorgeous iP6/+s ... they are saved by the genius of Jony & company for retaining the stunning iconic home button and very distinguishing bezels - you can easily recognized from a mile or so away ... Ahhh, the almighty iPhone!

When traveling and in the move - put it on and use your BEAUTIFUL discreet cases.

When in chilling mode / seated - take it off ... the iPhone at it's utterly gorgeous best!

Welp, you got soccer moms (my wife) and 22 month old toddlers who will find a way to get to that phone, drool on it, throw it, play with it, eat it, manage to take selfies with it (true story), yet prefer the iOS experience over Android.

So yeah, there are good reasons why people put cases on their iPhones :)

Threads like this offer interesting insights into how narcissistic schmucks see the world.

Should I also wear a helmet everywhere I go too?

Judging by how utterly stupid this thread is, I am going to have to say yes.

I am an outdoor and wilderness professional....that means my tools to earn a living with, including my phone are constantly exposed to severe weather, bumps, drops, forces of torsion and vibration all because I hike, climb and ski for my job.

If my tools are broke, I will eventually be too as in lost income. So I have always had a case and in respect to the new iphone, I will have two. My iphone 6 will always be in either the apple leather case or in a nice big Griffin Survivor All Terrain.

Without a case, it's a pretty phone no doubt...but it is not as pretty as the constant cash flow to my bank account I have because I can rely on it as a tool....not a pretty toy.

They are immature brats that are insecure and feel the need to compensate for a certain something by way of product flaunting?

Great thread! Did you ever think to imagine that most people want a good phone that works great? Unless your 17 yrs old you would understand that for most adults the functioning of the phone is more important than how it looks with or without a case.

....the voice of reason

This is just downright rude and pathetic.

I'm 16 here and I found this thread to be pretty damn stupid but your comment? Even worse. You are no voice of reason.

Agreed. The younger forum members are not all
into show and tell with their phones either.

I don't know if i'll put a case on mine or not. I have ordered a case already, but i dunno.

one of the only reasons i had a case on my iphone 5 is the thing was horrible to hold without one, and it was just a plastic/rubber type case.

From what i hear of the iphone 6 plus breaking everytime its dropped, even less than a foot, i might use the case for sure.

if you buy stuff so people will look at you/ then you have other issues.

Seems to be a common misconception for folk that have it stuck in their brains(for some odd reason) that Age=Maturity. When, in fact, that is ********.

Haha no... I am proud of my Apple products but have never said anything other than "phone" and "laptop" nor has anyone I know that I can think of. That would be strange, if in the middle of a normal conversation that wasn't specifically about the brand names or differentiating etc.

Screw that!

First I bought my phone to use as a tool to run my business. The 6 is too slippery. I always put my phone is a Sedio Surface shell that adds almost zero bulk but a rubberized grip. I handle over a hundred calls, emails and texts and being able to get to your phone, use it and put it back is important.

You, Sir are too in love with your phone. I bought the 6 for the larger screen, you for the "smooth rounded edges"!:p
Love to see the look on your face when you get that first little scratch or ding.

I agree, I don't use the Apple case or screen protectors etc for my iPhone 6 Plus.

But I'm not going to push it on everybody else to do the same like it's a religion.

what's the point on this thread?

I see most Samsung user with cases on their phones.

I've always had a case in every single iPhone I've had since the 3G.

I'm clumsy and need a case usually...

I don't see this with phones / computers. I do see this with iPads though. People don't say "Let me check my tablet" if they have an iPad. I think iPad is synonymous with tablet. Kind of like saying "Let me Xerox that for you" when you have a Canon copier. Though I don't see people referencing their Kindle Fires as iPads. So I guess this post really has no point and fits in well here.

Really? Then how come everyone who owns an Apple product will say "Let me check my iPhone" instead of "Let me check my phone" or "It's on my Mac/Macbook" instead of "It's on my computer/laptop"?

Guess it can go both ways but not every one has or needs excuses but we know every one has on opinion.

But by saying that, you're basically saying someone else's opinion stinks, which isn't the case.

Excuses, on the other hand, DO stink. And yes, everyone has one.

I don't think everyone who has an iPhone does that. I understand where your coming from but for me I'm more worried about damage from dropping it so I'm gonna go with a case.
