I'm currently using the Apple leather case. Overpriced? Absolutely. However, I really enjoy the feel and it doesn't add much bulk to the phone. Actually gives a bit more grip and keeps it scratch free and clean. :)

Well there is color difference even in a case - white vs black.

I got the white silver but would've got white gold - didn't really matter since it is going in a case for protection.

I never call my phone "iPhone" in conversation or my computer "iMac".

And I had a 4S - so yeah, there are lots of points for upgrading that I won't even list. The phones beauty/aesthetics is just a bonus.

Really? Then how come everyone who owns an Apple product will say "Let me check my iPhone" instead of "Let me check my phone" or "It's on my Mac/Macbook" instead of "It's on my computer/laptop"?

That is blatantly false. I have a "phone" (iPhone 5) and a "laptop" (MacBook Pro). Oddly enough, I refer to my iPad as an iPad and not a tablet. But the other two are simply my phone and laptop.

I think you might want to look up the word "everyone".

I've had the original iPhone, 4, 5, and now 6 Plus. This is the first time I've ever had a case. The only reason I did it is because I needed extra grip. The rounded edges are beautiful, but between the edges and the larger size, I needed something that had some texture to it. I opted for the 6 Plus leather case because I love how it's still very slim.

Regardless, I certainly did not upgrade from my 5 to the 6 Plus just because of how it looks. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that did just that, and good for them. But I highly doubt that's the majority by any stretch.

If you don't want a case, just make sure and get AppleCare +.

As another member pointed out above, some of us actually think the phone looks better with the right case. The example used was a space grey phone in the red Apple silicone case, which is my setup and I wholeheartedly agree. It's downright gorgeous, and the phone without that case isn't as attractive to me.

This is just downright rude and pathetic.

I'm 16 here and I found this thread to be pretty damn stupid but your comment? Even worse. You are no voice of reason.[/QUOTE]

I feel for you young man. When I was 16 I was out chasing chicks and playing sports with my friends.

I wouldn't imagine any teenagers would come to this forum.

So if I offended you I apologize

....the voice of reason

if you are going to end up buying a case for it.

For one, it's hideous no matter how nice you think the case looks. It destroys the look and feel of the iPhone. What's the point of choosing an iPhone color if it's going to be your case that determines the color of it?

Also, it nullifies the smooth rounded edges of the iPhone. Any case will ruin the feel and hold of the iPhone. If you appreciate the aesthetics of an iPhone and the form factor, why buy a case? It's only going to add layers of unwanted thickness.

You're pretty much using a Galaxy with iOS buy utilizing a case. Nobody would even know you're using an iPhone.

Lets keep it natural if you're going to be using an iPhone 6.

I could give a rat's ass about the look and feel of my iPhone. I care about the screen (the one thing I am always looking at when I use my phone) and the fact that pretty much any drop on a hard surface (like the concrete floors at my work) will shatter the screen and dent/ding/gouge the phone's edges.

Nobody needs to know I use an iPhone... And honestly.... Does anyone care?

I'm protecting my investment. My slim case says drop protection up to 6 ft.... A raised lip on the front (maybe 0.05 in) to keep the phone from landing flat on the screen and bumpered corners adds about .2 in overall to the thickness of the phone.

OMG the world is gonna end!

I'm still laughing at the dozen "I dropped my phone 2 ft on the pavement and cracked my screen" threads I've read today...

When will you people learn? LOL
