The pictures of the case shows it to be undergoing various stages of development. Not surprising, if these pictures are true Apple 'prototypes'.
correct me if I am wrong but aren't those pictures of the boot-leg japanese version?
if you remember on Saturday (or sunday) there were pictures of someone holding the iPhone saying its a Japanese fake. It looked just like these pictures. I think the article was later said to be false, but I never understood what about it was false. a guy claimed it was a fake. so what about that is false? does that mean it is actually not-fake?
No the 3g and 3gs are very un apple like. The first gen and this leaked iPhone are more like apple.
I wonder if SJ will turn all this drama into a joke at WWDC.

I've got another one. I almost left it at Kate Beckinsale's house last night. She has some exquisite satin sheets, I tell ya what.

Steve!
Stop making these in China.
Exercise some manufacturing control and change the label on the back to:
MADE IN AMERICA
Yeah, from a business perspective that's going to generate Apple far more revenue.Steve!

Prototype is the key word here. Gizmodo put forward a convincing argument that these devices are, in fact, produced by/for Apple R&D. That said, there isn't to much information that can really be taken from these. For example, just because Apple is experimenting with a front facing cameras, doesn't mean that a final version will include one. I would expect a prototype to include a wish list of features in order to test how practical they are under real world usage.
