Instagram is great for what I use it for; which is primarily dog, comedy, and hobby-related content. It's easy for IG to be pleasant so if you are having a bad experience on IG, that's your fault. While I would like to have it support split-screen or stage manager, it really doesn't bother me to use it full screen.
Dog or dogging?

That’s some disposable income.
Couldn’t be further from the truth. I’ve tried many other alternatives which all had their fair share of issues, and nothing seems to reliably use Instagram like an iOS device. Me buying a 6 year old used iPad (which I still can’t really afford) is not a flex, it’s me trying to find a means to an end.

So, in 1985 I went out for a meal. I took a Kodak Polaroid of my delicious spaghetti. I went to my local library and ran off 100 photocopies of my Polaroid. I then stood on a street corner handing out sheets of paper to random passers by whilst asking them whether or not they liked the picture of my spaghetti meal. How absurd is that?!

First of all, there’s no such thing as a “Kodak Polaroid”

Second of all, I’m really not sure what that has to do with anything. At best I can only call it irrelevant… however, ”nonsensical” seems more accurate.

Maybe it’s just a translation issue. I’m sure your thoughts are more coherent in Na’vi.

What’s absurd is you trying to decide what’s relevant or interesting for everyone else. The vast majority of people would simply pass on by if it wasn’t something of interest. Only those who think far too highly of themselves would stop and try to convince others that they shouldn’t bother stopping. But your example is flawed anyway. If someone is on Instagram, they aren’t in the public space asking everyone who passes by to look. They have created their own space for those who are interested in the subject to discover.

Seems that the issues with Instagram might be limited to the 12.9” ipads, which still isn’t great - this shouldn’t be a problem at all, and I hope the app functionality is quickly rectified for those affected…

but I set up my 10.5” iPad Pro this morning and luckily all functions of the app are working great as far as I can tell. I already posted 2 stories with many of the different features/additions that I could typically only use on iphone before.

There is so such a thing as a Kodak Polaroid. Why else did Polaroid bring a patent-infringement lawsuit against Kodak in 1976?

A Kodak Polaroid is when you take a photo of a Polaroid with a Kodak and then take a Polaroid photo of the developed Kodak.

It supports Stage Manager. Been using it that way for awhile.

I am finding that the web interface on iPad is actually much more useful for certain things like responding to messages and such, I am just now grasping how the iPhone interface is a little goofy on iPad.

The app is still necessary for most functions that are not available in the web interface or through other means. I am only opening it when I really need to but at least I have the option, and at least it works.
