There's Still No Sign of Privacy Labels for Most Google iOS Apps

"There's Still No Sign of Privacy Labels for Most Google iOS Apps"

That is because the product does not contain any privacy to have a label mentioning it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

“I honestly doubt the general android consumer even gives a ****.“

There, now it’s fixed. :D
Word. the majority, if not, all of my friends are ios users. They all use Facebook and google services with imessage being the only apple one they use.

This is not an Android-specific problem. Stop trying to shoehorn someone's preference of a device they use in this conversation.

You're probably joking but there is no order form.

The only Google service I really use is YouTube. Sucks that it has to be owned by Google, but too much content to just forgo.
I've known some folks who went "tech vegan". Basically, cutting out all Google services. It isn't easy, but definitely possible. For your typical user, they need Google more than they need Apple.

That's not how these companies aggregate their data. Data without a face is almost useless to them, they will, using some metric or metadata, link a data-set with a human being. Just because a google account has none of your personal information doesn't mean the company doesn't already have a file with your name on it from some point in the past when you did, and all it takes is 1 algorithmic connection to link that existing and growing profile on you with that google account and it may as well have your name all over it because in Google's eyes they already know it's you.
But none of them have my name. Actually, even if they did, I'd not care.

It’s not Google you have to worry about knowing your name, it’s whoever they are giving your name and it’s associated data to that you have to worry about ;)

^ That right there says you’re shoehorning ALL consumers of their choice of a devices into this conversation. Get off your high horse and look in the mirror before pointing fingers.

I'm not worried about that either. The DMV and every govt website has my accurate name, DoB, SSN, DL, car info, height, weight, address, political party, phone #, email, etc, most of which can't be falsified legally. It's probably all leaked already. I know for a fact that my phone provider sells my phone's realtime location to anyone who buys, and I also know that anyone can freely obtain voter records of anyone registered (I'd not vote if I were privacy-concerned). Doesn't seem to affect me.

On Goog and FB, I fake it all. Actually, I don't think Google knows my name even if they connect the accounts. They all have generic first and last names. Even if one of them had my real name, there's no telling which is the real one. There is a place you can view your Goog advertising profile, and it thinks I'm 55-60yo. I'm 24.

For a company that would send a clear message "you are the product" probably warrants less of a reason to detail what information is collected or privacy label, vs a company who goes to some measures of not being in the same business.

Mainly because people would be shocked if they knew the scope.. Privacy doesn't play well with everyone.

In my opinion, it's not hard to do without Google. The problem is a lot of people are lazy and don't want to invest time finding a new app or setting up a different app workflow. As such, they make excuses and stick with Google.

People want things that work well together.
