They also seem to have replaced the backlighting with the same bluish backlighting that is present on the Macbook Air. I was very sad though to find that they didn't update the keyboard to a top-notch one like the Air/MB, I absolutely despise the squishy MBP keyboard.

It looks like they put some dedicated keys on top like the MB and MBA

This makes me think that they do like this keyboard than the 'blocky' one

Oh well, just though id point it out...

That's good. Still would have liked to seen chicklet.

I suppose I'll have to wait until next time for these:

Blu-Ray
Media Key Row instead of FN
Fingerprint Reader
Magnetic Latch
Replaceable HDD
SSD Option
Chicklet Keyboard
Wi-Max/3G/4G Connectivity
Wireless USB
ExpressCard/54 instead of /34
High Res Display for 15"
2.0 MP iSight
Memory Card Reader
Black Option

Huh... They essentially updated the keys and labels and everything to mirror the new external Apple keyboards... Nice, I guess. Still not as good as the Air keyboard though, haha.

- Media Key Row instead of FN

- Memory Card Reader

The above will never happen, I'm afraid. I would definitely like to see higher resolution on the 15" eventually, though.

They removed the num lock key and got rid of the numbers that were on the letters.

By the way all function keys seems to have some function already. How can you do spaces, expose all, expose application, see desktop etc. Pressing the Fn key every time would suck. I love that my powerbook has F8-F12 free to set for anything. We'll see when it arrives.

Also, how do you switch b/w multiple monitors easily now? They removed the easy switch button?

look at the top, there are media keys
and ignore the fn button, its not needed to make them work

Two things that may get on people's nerves about this:
  • no more num lock as mentioned earlier
  • no more small 'enter' key on the right...now a second option key (look in above post)

In the pic above, there are media keys, but on the apple picture, F11 and F12 are still blank. Who is right here?
