I recently "upgraded" to iOS 10.2 from 8.2 and I can't believe how bad it is. Almost everything about iOS has gone downhill. Do they not feel happy unless they are changing something, even if it's for the worse?

Messages got the worst of it, all of the stupid pointless features and now copy and pasting messages is ridiculously clunky and slow and they've added the completely unnecessary ability to "like" someone's txts. It used to be super fluid and fast when you clicked on a message to copy it or a text window to paste. Now there's almost a full second delay, and yes that makes a huge difference when you do it all the time. I was really hoping they would improve autocorrect but it's just as bad or worse. It constantly doesn't recognize contractions or capitalize proper nouns like it did in the earlier iOS. The ONLY thing keeping me from going back to my 6 running 8 is this Apple Watch I just bought but I'm struggling to find a use for it. It's so aggravating, why does Apple have to continue to go downhill?

Full Second Delay? OMG!

Might be time for a Class Action Lawsuit!

Toss that POS in the trash!

A full second for an action that previously took a fraction of a second and that you do CONSTANTLY is a big deal. It becomes a nuisance. Most importantly, why should technology go backwards?

It is not the end of the world. I am sure Android has it's problems too.

You seem to torture yourself over the little stuff.

Save it for the big thing!

I haven't noticed any of the issues you're talking about.

Drama aside...when things take longer, people notice.

I made a recent mistake...I updated the weather channel app on my phone. Before, it launched almost instantaneously...now it's almost a 2 sec delay before the info is displayed. I'd love to go back if I could.

I'm usually very reticent to upgrade my apps...now, I will stand still.

You're right, that was a dumb reply.

I just get irritated when people skip a whole major update, then update and complain that a lot has changed, especially when the changes are minor inconsequential stuff. But it's true that my reply was less than useless and I should have just not made it.

Have you timed the copy/paste of messages? Can you post some screen shots of the times? I am interested in seeing this.

Given the fact you've already stated elsewhere that the text bar has shrunk 'down to a fraction of the size' and have to 'tap in a very small specific area', it sounds like you're being over dramatic and looking to move away from iOS.

I have no problem w change, it's when the change is INFERIOR and stuff becomes less efficient that I take issue.

Why haven't you switched to android yet? iOS doesn't seem for you.
Bc unfortunately iOS is still the least lousy operating system.

You are absolutely correct. I shared a similar opinion with the Messages app in iOS 10 (as well as other complaints) and even switched to a Google Pixel for about 4-5 months. I experienced the Android problems first hand and I'm happy to be back to an iPhone/iOS.

The grass is always greener...
Or there are just some really bad software designers out there

Designers? You mean developers? Are you implying you could do develope better iOS for the millions of iPhone users over your own preferences?

Yes, I am. I don't know how to write code obviously but I could damn sure come up w a better and more efficient process.

Well, to be fair, you were making threads like this over on my forum from 2011 to 2013. I have a list.

You've never been happy with iOS. :D
Again, it's still the least lousy software. It's just pathetic how many flaws it has given Apple's immense resources, wealth, power and experience. It should be nearly flawless.

Interesting. You don't write code and you're not a software developer, yet you know what's best for the other millions of iPhone users because of your anecodotal experiences with iOS after your recent update from 8.2 to 10.3. And iOS should be near "Flawless" because you said so?

I personally think you're more disgruntled about abandoning your jailbreak for 10.3, when there are millions of other iPhone users who are content with iOS 10. But to each their own.

I didn't abandon my jailbreak, I would never settle for stock iOS. I'm running 10.2. Ignorance is bliss, people are content bc they don't know any better. Not saying people on here but the general public will just take what is given to them.

The fact you've waited so long to upgrade from 8.2 says it all, some people just don't like change. I've never had to wait a second during copy and pasting something either. You're not running it on an iPhone 5 are you?

My mistake, I was under the impression you abandoned your jailbreak. However, Of course the general public will take what's given to them, what are the options do they have besides stock iOS? Not everybody jailbreaks. (And Nor am I against jailbreaking).

My point is , you don't speak for the millions of iPhone users that enjoy iOS 10 and not everybody shares your faults with what you find inconvenient or lack there of in iOS 10.

In Comparison, you literally upgraded to versions of iOS later and all you can find are negatives. That doesn't put you in the majority of others users experiences. Nor does it allow to you shoehorn comments that you know what's best in terms of iOS for everyone. That not how it works.

Again, I welcome positive change that improves on existing designs. When it goes backwards I take issue.
