My fans work...they haven't stopped blowing since I installed 10.7.
Also, insomniaX isn't working for me.

I just installed Lion on MBP. 2 finger swipe only worked in safari, not even finder, anyone have solution?

Firefox is not loading all images for some reason. Safari seems to be fine.

My Microsoft Mouse is working backwards, have to scroll down to go up, and up to go down. I am hooked up to a monitor.

Yes so does my Apple mouse.

USB mobile broadband not working

I can't get my Franklin Wireless CMU-301 USB mobile broadband stick to work (Xfinity Internet 2Go). Other than tethering with my iPhone 4 (waaaaay too expensive), I can no longer access the Internet with my MacBook. Not cool! I was not expecting that to stop working. I tried uninstalling the connection manager software and reinstalling, but it always says device not found. I know both usb ports are working, as I've plugged my iPhone into both with no problem. The lights on the CMU-301 are working, but nothing happens. I'm so angry, I could fling my MacBook across the room! How the hell am I supposed to live without the Internet? Because of that alone, I say Lion SUCKS! I'm not even willing to see what's new. It's so not worth it. Without Internet access, my MacBook is nothing but a big worthless brick. Oh, I'm so angry!

My Time Machine backup didn't work, once I had upgraded to Lion it just would not backup to the disk. The system would beach-ball whenever it tried. I've now formatted the disk I use for backup and started the whole Time Machine procedure again, it seems happy enough now.

*phew* Installed Lion without problems. Got worried at the Utilities screen though, the wording is pretty bad. "Reinstall" option shouldn't be called that.

Anyways...

My keyboard is lighting up, even though I have the box unchecked in settings - anyone else having this issue?

Adium 1.3.x that I had crashed. Downloaded the latest version at 1.4.2 and it works fine.

Google Chrome goes into full-screen, but there's no button to go back like iCal has, have to go under View or use keyboard short-cut to exit full-screen.

Coda and Photoshop CS5 are working fine.

I got it working. Have to boot Lion in 32-bit mode. It's not perfect, but until Xfinity puts out a 64-bit app, it's the only way. At least I found a way! Whew! OK, I guess I can stop saying Lion sucks (obviously it's Xfinity that has the problem) and start poking around to see what's new.

Active Directory Logins

These are totally borked.
Can still bind to the domain, and can access shared folders off the domain, but AD logins have gone. Just get a red dot on the login screen and "network accounts are unavailable".

Everything else is fine, even got used to the natural scrolling in about half an hour, but without AD it's impossible to upgrade. It's just not feasible to have all my users create local accounts and re-install all their software.

my third party USB-Ethernet adapter (Moschip MCS7830) no longer works since I installed Lion yesterday. Reinstalled the driver (version 1.0008) and still not working. It's detected when connected to the USB port but not active or "connected" in Network preferences.

Not sure what to do, maybe a new driver is required. I might end up buying the adapter from Apple which is four times the price and hoping it will work too!

now i'm stuck with limited WiFi bandwidth on the MBA.

Quicken 2007 and MicroSoft:Mac

I upgraded to Lion yesterday and found most everything worked but my Word, Excel, Power Point and Quicken 2007 were x out. I could not open any of my quicken files or word files.
The word files could be open in text editor.
I tried everything to make them work because i used them daily.
Called tech support and they said no fix right now so I restored my computer back to Snow Leopard for now.
I was told that I would not have to re buy Lion because they had it on record.
I was very disappointed in not being able to use Lion right away.
Until I can get upgrade to word and quicken or software that is compatible
I will continue using Snow Leopard.

The MS office works without issue for me, which version are you using? Quicken is another story.

ITunes not recognizing devices under Lion

I cannot get iTunes to recognize my iPhone 4 or my iPad 3G. The device lights up and starts charging when I plug it into a USB port but it does not show up in iTunes.

I have tried multiple USB ports and cannot get it either device to be recognized by iTunes. I am using a MacPro Early 2008.

Pre-Lion everything was fine -- anyone else having this same issue.

i cant sign on to facetime. get a registration error.
vuze also doesnt work for me atm. no download/upload activity.

As for google chrome, you can exit full screen mode by hovering at the top, then clicking View>Exit full screen mode. No need to quit the app.

I'm having a weird problem with mission control, when I have chrome and itunes open on the same space, i Get the problem below. On any other space, I have no issues as all, it works as it should.

VNC - and Server apps

I found this blog thread searching for solutions for VNC access from Windows.

I'm still not seeing any mention of a tested & working VNC client to allow access from Windows to Lion. I had been using Ultra VNC which has stopped working on upgrade; have also tried RealVNC - no luck.

If you have a working VNC client on Windows that can connect to Lion - please share!

---

Maybe there's another forum for Server issues that used to work - but do not work any more .... but let me report here for now.

I'd been using Snow Leopard Server before the upgrade; with numerous web sites. Some of these had been using the "Reverse Web Proxy" feature, so that connections to my single fixed IP could be distributed among multiple servers behind my firewall.

This, and nearly every other facet of advanced web page administration, is gone when used through the new "Lion Server App". The only options are port number and path to the web site. Yikes!

The message that the reduction in web services sends to me is, core functions in Server we depend on may get pulled in any future update from Apple. I'd been about to buy one of the new Mac Mini Servers to expand my home-based hosting environment - but this is on hold or canceled now.
