Not sure if it was in the betas (although it was definitely mentioned during one of the Leopard Keynotes) - but I wish the ability to record and play a short video "answerphone" message in iChat had made it to the final version.

You have to install the Developer tools after you install Leopard. Once booted into Leopard insert the DVD and install it from there (not Leopard again).

I'm not sure if it is against the rules or not otherwise I would zip the two files up (really small files) and attach them here.

Edit:
Here are the two files, just place them in /Library/Screen Savers/

(mods, if this is against rules please delete or edit post)

WOW~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ its So cool~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thanks~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That link isn't working for me,even after i waited the 190 minutes for it to finish up it wouldnt let me download. Is there another site to download this from?

Am I missing something with these two screensavers or is this all they are? The security camera is simply a camera icon with a slash through it that blinks?......................................

Do you have a webcam or iSight on your mac? If you don't, thats what you'll get.

The ability to open folders within a stack, and then its showed as a stack.. if you know what i mean. Instead of opening in finder, it would carry on showing the contents of the folder in the stack.

I think so; On the leopard beta I tested you could open the apps stack, but then when you selected a folder it opened in the stack; this made them usefull, I mean this way is just like in the end you have a lot of windows opened..

Isn't there anyway to use it this way? maybe pressing some button when clicking the icon?

A feature that I'd like (don't know if it was in beta) is to be able to hide the dock in certain spaces.

It's very easy to get these working:
- After installing Leopard, install the Developer Tools - they are on the Leopard DVD.
- When they're installed, open the folder <your hard drive> > Developer > Examples > Quartz Composer > Compositions > Screen Savers.
- There are two files in there Retro.qtz and Security.qtz. Select both of them and press Command/Apple + C (to copy them).
- Now, open the folder <your hard drive> > Library > Screen Savers.
- Press Command/Apple + V (to paste them).

All done! It's really no more difficult than that.

Does the iCal dock icon change to show the current month & day, or does it only show the static icon still?

It changes to show the current month and day.

Anyway, why can't I install the Developers Tools on my PB G4? I am getting an error message.

Just as a heads up, the security screen saver locked up my computer after I left it on over night. I had to restart, which was a very weird feeling in OS X. I would be willing to bet money this is a common problem with screen saver, and that's the reason it's only in the developer tools as sample code. I wouldn't trust the retro screen saver either.

Safe Sleep -> reboot into XP

Shut down XP -> Mac wakes from Safe Sleep

I was really dying for this feature... when I've got ten windows open for modelling, a reboot into XP for Supreme Commander suddenly doesn't look so attractive.

Wasn't there supposed to be a widget builder app that anyone could use...? Haven't seen a single mention of it, did I miss something?

There are webclips built into Safari that anyone can use and DashCode is part of the Developer Tools (so you do need some skills).

Is anyone else having issues with the webclip stuff. After a while it just goes away and im left with the blank white box in my dashboard.

i never heard hddvd as an official thing.

What about those buttons composed of vectors? the buttons seem pixel-composed to me.

Actually I find a lot of things look a lot worse on my External monitor in terms of MenuBar than my computer when I was using Tiger. Its very odd I thought Leopard was going to make it better, this better be fixed cause it looks really bad and for a company that works with so many professionals who use External monitors, it really should not look so bad. HOpefully they'll fix it.

I have a MacBook Pro and I get the same thing. The light does come on to let me know the camera is activated, but I just get the blinking icon.

Another thing I noticed is putting them in /Library/Screen Savers/ didn't work. I had to put them in /System/Library/Screen Savers/.
