It depends what you've come from.

You went from a 4S to a 6 Plus, so you've skipped two generations of iPhone so have seen a pretty huge performance leap to you personally.

Normally the benchmarks and specs between the new iPhone and iPad are quite close, but Apple pushed the boat out with the Air 2. On Geekbench, and I know it's only benchmarks and not indicative of real world use, the iPhone 5s and 6/6Plus are very close in both single and multi core scores. Normally you see a near double the leap in performance numbers (like on the Air 2 with it's multi core score vs the Air 1).

I've heard a lot of people who've come from a 5s say that the 6 and 6 Plus are simply 'bigger screen versions of the iPhone 5s in a new body'. Performance wise there's very little between the 5s and 6, but the 6s SHOULD have some decent speed spec bumps.

Cannot and will not disagree, you're dead on.

Yeah, I've heard that a lot here and there that it's not comfortable enough to hold.

And that's why I hesitate - because with the note 3, my hands got really tired when I was holding it in my bed.
I'm only 5'4 and have small hands.

I believe 6 is really the perfect size for me but I'm so spoiled, I want the larger screen of +.

Oh well, I can't even get + from anywhere even if I want to, so I guess I would wait and see.

Thanks for your replies, everyone.

You do have to change the way you hold it while lying down. I'm 5'4" and I have small hands. :)

I like the 6+ better, though. You get used to it being larger.

I agree, I also believe we were shafted. Unfortunately I had a 4S that was (not so slowly) dying on me. This 6 Plus will have to last my two year contract and then I'll upgrade.

Apple has REALLY showed their greed in this latest device and iOS release. Planned obsolescence right in front of our eyes for those that wish to see.

Overall, I'm VERY happy with the phone. I just know it could have been much more future proof.

Sounds like you should be on the S cycle. Maybe you were late to the party with the 4S and didn't get the 5s, but it's easier to "future proof" on the S cycle if there's such a thing.

I cannot disagree. I'll learn my lesson moving forward.

Again, I really love my phone, I just think Apple is really starting to push the limits of their more intelligent clientele.

If you are able to try it outside of the store I would do it. That is the only way you can get a real idea. I had the 6 and decided to try the 6+. After one or 2 days with the 6+ I felt it was too big and wanted to return it. But I gave it a week and now I have decided to keep it. While I do/did like how the 6 feels in the hand, size, and one handed operability, I have grown accustomed to the large screen on the 6+ now.

Another thing to consider is if you can live with the lagging issue. Have had 2 +s already and both have the lagging, blank page and previous blank page issues. I hope this is a sw issue otherwise I will just settle for a 6 for now until it's fix as I do like the +.

just got mine today no lag here :) i went from 6 to 6+ its not much bigger i think ill keep it

I'm really thinking about making the jump from the 6 to the 6+. I originally thought about getting an ipad mini to pair with the 6, but an all-in-one device may be the best solution.
