And what makes me wonder is that iphone has better screen than Samsung but still we have scratches while you don't.
Any screen has the capability of scratching, not just the iPhone. Unless it's the new Motorola that just came out the other day. That screen is unscratchable and unbreakable. And what makes me wonder is that iphone has better screen than Samsung but still we have scratches while you don't.
Since when does the iPhone have a better screen? The panel is lower resolution and has worse colors and energy efficiency, and the glass on the Samsung is the same if not better. And what makes me wonder is that iphone has better screen than Samsung but still we have scratches while you don't.
Of course not. A material can be scratched by a harder material, not softer. Fingernails, potato chips, peanuts, whatever your pants are made of, combs and remotes are not harder than glass. If you can prevent contact with harder materials (including things like sand) then you can avoid scratches. And by intensive I mean letting my girlfriend use it with her long nails, my 8 year old nephew plays games on it with his greasy and crumbly fingers from eating potato chips and peanuts. I put it in and out of my pocket a lot of times a day, also during cycling with a lot of friction. Sometimes the screen comes in contact with things like hair combs, remote controls and those kind of things. I have inspected my screen under all kinds of lighting and not a single hairline scratch or whatsoever.
Never is a bit much of a claim. It's certainly possible though the odds are probably low. They may all be minor, but there's no way you never scratch your phones.
Better how? As with any set of options there are pros and cons on both sides. Even if it was "better" that wouldn't mean that glass un unscratchable. And what makes me wonder is that iphone has better screen than Samsung but still we have scratches while you don't.
People do. Google clear bra (though you might get some unrelated hits with just those two keywords). Typically though, people cover parts that are prone to rock chips -- especially on sports cars which tend to be lower to the ground. We don't wrap our cars up like this, why phones?
Ufff... That was sad.. See, things happen at the right time. This episode has made you take an important decisionI've been feeling the same way lately until today. I don't think I have ever dropped my iPhone, so that's why I thought why should I even have a screen protector? I was thinking about getting rid of it until today when I got out of the car, I had left my phone on my lap and it fell face down on to the ground! Ouch! Horrible sound! Picked it up and everything was fine! A few scratches but only on the screen protector, so I guess I'll be keeping it.
Fingers and pockets pick up microscopic grit from the world around us and I promise that all you 'never had a scratch' peeps will see countless scratches in the coating on your screen if you look at it critically under a bright light. I always use a screen protector but I stay away from the cheap and nasty ones that feel horrid to slide over, look horrid and affect the eyes due to not being crystal clear.
Nothing wrong with this. If I can keep my iPhones looking like new in a thin clear case and get a few extra bucks at the end of the the year because of it. That's a bonus in my book. That is just more money that I'll have to put towards my new iPhone.![]()
Not correct for me. Depends largely on who you are selling it to. But I will not argue with you. I'll just keep doing what I've been doing and getting the expected amount from doing it.as long as the phone doesn't have major scratches on the body or glass and we're only talking about light scratches to the oleophobic screen film then I can reassure you that the difference in the amount of money i get for my phone and you get for yours will be negligible. The kind of people who buy phones in 2nd hand are not looking for perfection, and are definately not expecting to get a new phone

Had the 6plus with one on Verizon.
Ditched Verizon got the iPhone yearly program from sprint and Apple care. Now I don't have a screen protector on my 6s because there's no reason to keep it the "best" condition because I don't get much value for it if I'm just going to get a brand new one every year.
Been 35 days.. Lucky till now.. Just that it gets slippery when I use it lying down in my bed.. Maybe because of its size but guess even the 6s will be the same as it's because of the slippery aluminum at the backI've never used screen protectors and this is the first iPhone I've ever had that got a scratch. And I baby my devices so I'm not even sure how or when it happened.![]()
