I have Dell U3818DW hooked to my Radeon 7970 via mDP and was missing the ability to control brightness. After mucking with ddcctl, OSDisplay and bash scripts that i wanted to feed unto Karabiner I found it had all been packaged already!

This thing does multiple monitors, brightness, contract, and audio volume. Audio will need Lilu discussed elsewhere.

Interesting, I don't know that one. Thanks for sharing!

I use NativeDisplayBrightness with Karabiner to get the brightness control.

P.S. Will put this thread into the sticky upgrade guide now.

I've been using this for quite a bit and 100% success so far, but the version you've linked is outdated.

The project has been forked over and over again, and this one's the most updated one (and the one I use): https://github.com/the0neyouseek/MonitorControl

When used in conjunction with the DP/HDMI Audio fix it will let you control the volume as well.

So I've downloaded it and the controls work from the menu bar but on the keyboard the brightness controls aren't working

You have to allow the app in the accessibility settings.
