ive dropped mine on the concrete plenty of times, a few scratches on the back but thats it, holds up awesome.
any phone will break if u drop it just right.

I think this proves an important point: If the Sprint phone is so great, why can't they find a better way to compare? I mean, if this is the best they can do it ain't sayin' much.

That may be because the mac vs. pc adds entertain. They promote laughs. They arent like these that are like hey look what i can do, screw you, iPhone. They don't entertain, they are the boring type of propaganda.
Yeah, I just dropped my phone two days ago (was the second time) and it was in the sleeve that I have for it and of course it had to land on the part that was exposed. It landed right on the corner where the headphone jack is... on concrete. Left a pretty good scratch, but no broken screen. Right when I got back to my room, on went the ugly silicon case

ya as someone said before, mac adds are entertaining, pc and now sprint adds are like hey im a pc and i got voice activated dialing and im better than you.
i wish apple would just have an add with that one south park episode where everyone drives a hybrid and they say "good for youuuuuuuuuu"
That first commercial is just a joke. I watched them all. Apple wouldn't even have to try and they can come up with more things why the iPhone is better. I think the G1 is it's best competitor to date. To be honest, I've only seen those with friends. No instincts or any of these shotty touch screen phones.
of course Apple has set the benchmark for touch phones and companies will try to do anything to beat it. Not going to happen, although the new blackberry might give it some heat but I still can't see it doing better than the iphone
Kind of a ridiculous statement since the Storm isnt even out yet. How would you know? Granted there is a bias here since most of us are Mac users and have used an iPhone. However it is possible for something to come along that is better than the iPhone.
I had an iPhone but had to give it up for reasons I discussed in another thread. I current have a LG Voyager, which is a piece of crap. The sales guy at Verizon tried to sell it as "just like the iPhone" and I just laughed in his face. But, it was the best of what they offer. Im exchanging it for a Storm this coming friday because Im hoping it is more like an iPhone than anything else.
If I could go back to ATT and my old iPhone I would in a second. But to say the iPhone is better without even trying a Storm is dumb.

So...after watchig those videos, I'm failing to see why they are stupid. Every one of those is exactly spot on--they beat the iphone in every way.
I've owned both phones, and the Instinct is far and away better at the GPS features, the voice features, and the "everything plan" as well. Apple/AT&T have a long ways to go to catch up.
That said, the iphone is miles ahead in user interface, touch screen and gui.
I ultimately chose the iphone for the apps and the future of what it could be...but so far apple has let me down.

Agree.The only thing from those that I really wish the iPhone could do is the video camera. I still don't understand why they wont just let you do that.

hey i have never had an iphone or anyone of these "smart phones" but that is pretty retarded that it can't shoot video (not that i would use it), and would make the whole youtube thing better because wasn't that a big thing, that you could watch you tube?

nope not true, dropped my iphone on concrete before and the screen never got damaged.
yeah thats why its better to have one on both sides like the older mbp. you have one on left and one on right.
