I love my Apple Watch 6. But i have to say, having a camera on it would be pretty cool. Very Dick Tracy. Not for taking pics, but for FaceTime calls.

When you know that a company’s main objective is to obtain and sell your data it makes wearing their product on your wrist - with a camera and who knows how many other biometrics included - a little less appealing.

It’ll probably be priced really low. They could take a loss on the costs for hardware, they’ll make up for it in the end by having more data on people who wear it.

Probably for almost free.

Facebook already partnered with carriers in my country to provide free access to Facebook site without using any internet quota. The result is a cesspool of hoaxes and fake news in a society that thinks Facebook to be the "internet". Our government had asked Facebook numerous times to assist in curbing the billions of fake accounts spreading hoaxes, but Facebook is barely responsive. They are truly the worst.

It would be nice if Meta released a decent Apple Watch app for Instagram and Facebook, but I guess the screen is too small to monetize with ads.

They're rounding it wrong.

And they KNOW so many [young] people will buy this (or their parents will) without a second thought. It will be a status symbol in schools.

Yeah, just what people want facebook with a camera and microphone perpetually on. What a stupid company. Anyone with an account shoud immediately deactivate and figure out how to migrate their WhatsApp and instagram. Instagram is dying like facebook anyway

How about we all agree to keep calling it Facebook.

don’t let the snakes slither away under a new brand.

A camera on the front of the display will be used for video calls, while a secondary camera on the back can be used for capturing photos when the body is detached from the stainless steel watch frame.
Video calling on your wrist sounds like an ergonomic nightmare. Raise your arm and stare at your watch. See how your arm feels after just 30 seconds.

The detachable design is an interesting idea. Unfortunately Facebook is so untrustworthy that I would never consider buying this or any other piece of hardware they make.
Well lucky for you this is nothing to do with Facebook. This is Meta. Meta on your wrist. Not Facebook. Please forget the connection. Its been hours.

It's going to be popular with the over 75s. I can picture a great grandmother getting jealous looks from her care home friends while she's making Messenger calls to her mom over the Meta watch.
Accessories: Meta armrest and Meta reading glasses

Oooh. I bet it comes with software you put on your phone and pc that effectively counteracts any privacy features/limits so they can track the :bleep: out of you again.

Hmm… I am not very religious in any way, but am fascinated by myths/legends/prophecies. This, combined with the stupid sunglasses is some very Revelation 13:16 stuff.
