Yeah, I just saw that too. Check out the chart they have on Swappa. The resale for the 128 isn't much higher than the 64 as of right now:
well i've compared it with current prices here if the new iPhone stays the same price

if i was to sell the 6S plus next year for 64GB it would cost £292 to buy the next version after selling the 6S but the 128GB would cost about £341

I'm still on the fence about whether I'm going to upgrade to the 6s. However if I do, I'm going to stick with the 64GB model since that is what I have for my 6 and it's perfect for me. Althought if Apple eliminates the 16GB model and starts at 32GB, then I may be tempted to go that route.

I'll be getting the 128GB again. I love that that capacity allows me to be lazy with regard to cleaning out my camera roll (I take a BOATLOAD of photos) and I'm still 13GB under max cap. It was well worth the investment.

32 GB is all I need. Depending on the price points, If the price points stay the same as the current one, I will get 64GB; however, if the 16gb get eliminated and 32GB is the base, I will get that.

Thinking with rumours of 4K video recording would going for 128GB be wise afterall?

still undecided wether to get the 64GB or 128GB

I have the 64GB air 2 so I like to,think that will be enough storage. Guess depends what else I put on it.

What do you have currently and what are you planning to get?
64 gor me. My iPhone 6 has 64, but my mini and my Air both have 32 and I'm just squeeking my with them. Pictures are the bulk of my content and I really dont go overboard with the camera.

I plan on sticking with 64 GB. I still have about 20 GB free on my iPad Air 2 and my current iPhone 6, so I don't see the need to go up to 128. I have 20 GB of music and around 50 apps, but no video content as I save that for my Air 2

The 64 GB model. I had a 32 GB 4S and I felt that I was underutilizing the storage so I got a 16 GB 5S, but boy was that a mistake. Constantly having to clear out apps and photos is quite the hassle when you only have 12 GB to utilize.

Having 4K video recording isn't going to make me suddenly start recording videos on my phone so I don't have any need for 128GB.

My thoughts exactly. I can pretty much count the number of videos I've recorded on my phone on one hand, and even if I did decide to start recording more, I wouldn't feel compelled to keep the videos on my phone anyway. I would want to enjoy them on something larger than a pocket sized screen. And that's another reason why I never need to opt for the highest capacity, because my phone is never going to be my primary media device for anything but music.

It's going to depend on offerings and price points, but either 64 or 128.

This is what I found:

The pricing information for Apple's iPhone 6S has leaked ahead of its launch

If you're buying a phone through a traditional two-year carrier contract, the 16GB version will cost $199, while the 64GB edition will be priced at $299, and the 128GB model will sell for $399.

The larger iPhone 6S Plus will be priced the same way as the iPhone 6 Plus: $299 for 16GB, $399 for 64GB, and $499 for 128GB.
