Not to be critical but the new iPhone is made of stainless steel and really scratch resistant glass, and most of us like the look of it so why do all you guys want to put it in a case?
Sseems to me that this is the best phone yet to go naked! Plus you know in a year you will get new one anyways...

How does the bumper "ruin" it? It's the most minimalistic case you can get. And even though the iPhone is made out of solid materials, that doesn't mean it's unbreakable. The screen can shatter or the metal/antenna can dent when dropped.
They look ok. Just saw the post saying they are rubber and plastic. From the picture, I'd say the middle sandwiched section is plastic, and the front and back are rubber, to cushion in a drop. This will also, however, make it harder to get it into and out of your pocket.
I'll check them out. If I like it, I'll order it from another site online that usually has pretty good deals, even on OEM Apple stuff.

I think they look like cheap rubber on a beautiful device. You would have to try to shatter this screen, I would rather pay for insurance and enjoy the look and feel of the phone then out it in a case and ruin the look and slimness of it

I think they only look good on white, but im not a HUGE fan of the white to begin with, and I guess I haven't exactly seen one on a black one, but im pretty sure I wont like it. But i hate reading posts when people are like, "oh im getting white because it looks really good with the bumpers". That 30 dollar piece of plastic is not a good reason for picking a phone. Apple is doing a really good job of making people think they need these things and that they are a great idea before we have even touched one or handled a phone with one on or seen it in person. I am probably just going to get a speck case, because I love the fabric ones for 3gs and i like the one on my mac, and I have waited since the first iphone to finally get one, and im going to be incredibly paranoid about keeping it protected and scratch free.

I mean it's nice for protection but that could be a tiny bit thinner. Or maybe not. It's not bad. I most likely will go for a incipio feather. Something thin, I find the physical appearance of the new iPhone very pleasing. I don't want a case to hinder that in any major way. Do you guys know of any thinner ones?

I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but these bumper cases actually look pretty good. The colored ones not so much, but definitely the black and white ones. I'm almost positive I'll pick up one up with my iPhone 4 purchase.

In your case, I would highly suggest Ghost Armor. It works surprisingly well, but not enough for me not to get a regular case.
I think black on white will look great but I don't think white on black will look that good. I'd go black on black.
I like how the case seems make the silent/loud switch embedded in so it's only accessible if you really want to change it; annoyed me when it would change by itself in my pocket :/
I'm on the other side of this. I have a 3G with a griffin case (clarifi? The one with the macro lens). The opening goes from the side partially around the back, so I can put it on silent without having to take it out of my pocket. The bumper looks like it would be hard for me to do that. I'd probably dremel out the recessed area around the silent switch to make it easier.
I'll see how this one is, and look at other cases before buying one. Maybe a full case, with an opening for the camera/flash.

Count me in as another who thinks they look quite a bit nicer than I thought they would. I'm considering the pink one now.At $30 a pop (they couldn't cost anymore than a couple of bucks to produce these things), I think I'd be more interested in the Chinese knockoffs that'll be on eBay soon for $.50.
