I think I still have my rope chain from the 80s. Make me an offer. :D
I wore either a silver or a gold neckless back in the '70's. It was quite popular back then, and the ladies found me handsome. Maybe "handy" if doing some handiwork around the house? 😁

Strange to see a second resurrection (for, the first was in 2018, while the thread itself was originally started in 2009) on this (perhaps, zombie?) thread.
In both cases a spammer came along and resurrected the thread, then other forum members continued the discussion, and then the spam was deleted.

As for me... I've had a stainless steel chain around my neck for years and I don't care whether anyone else likes it or not :p

Ah, fair enough.

Not that the thread should not be resurrected, rather, it struck me that it was strange that it had happened (and had happened yet again, for I re-read the thread).

Well said.

If you like it, candidly, that is all that matters.

Anyway, re neck chains, or necklaces for men, as I have already written earlier in the thread, my father wore one for years, - and had wished for one for some time before that - an elegant gold one, purchased in Turkey (at his request, and a situation where the actual chain had been approved and chosen by him) for him by my mother, which he wore until two days before his death, when it was given to my mother, who wore it for years, until her death.

Now, I wear it, with pleasure and pride, for it is rich in the wealth of warm memories.
