There's no reason to be mad, it just means I finally have a reason to make my parents buy me a new ipod :D 5th Gen here I come!

But seriously, it's almost 3 years old now, you shouldn't expect more support, we started getting left out when 3 came out. I didn't care really at all.

P.S. Oh, and you do realize that the iphone 3g is the iphone second generation right?

I have an ipod touch second gen... Am i pissed that this ipod is now outdated... No... Technology changes for the better and software gets better. However i am dissapointed that with the last and final update that the second gen would still not support multitasking... I can see why, because of battery life, but it would have been a nice option to have... Personally, i can't wait for the 5g ipod touch because my 2g crashes in safari constantly... So annoying.

Yaaa don't use my touch to much now cause I got the iPad but every app on it basically crashes.

Come to think of it... I'm going to be mad 5 minutes after I get my Touch5g and iP5, as they'l both be out of date inside of 3 years & I'll have spent a ton of loot on them....

Have you seen a jailbroken 2G with multitasking enabled? A snail crawling through molasses moves faster. It's a hardware limitation of having only 128mb of RAM, only >=256mb devices have multitasking and with good reason.

I actually made a really bad buying decision when it comes to my iPod Touch. You know how in September 2009 they re-released the 8GB 2nd generation model alongside the new 3rd generation 32GB and 64GBs? Well, my birthday is in May, so in May 2010, I got a new 2nd generation 8GB Touch. And less than a year into having it, it lost capabilities with the newest iOS (I'm stuck on 4.2.1). Kinda sucks since the new 4th generation came out a few months later.

Stupid me! :p
