You do know Apple work with Intel on Thunderbolt, right? So how much will Intel and Apple charge us.Wow! I was not expecting this from Intel. Nice! I wonder how much Intel is going to charge us.
It's more about showing that USB-C is the superior cable and is only going to get better? What benefit would a phone get with TB5?
Congratulations Intel (and Apple) on this new Thunderbolt 5 standard!
Ok. I'm confused. We're cool with Intel now?Nice move intel.
You can give them **** and praise. It's allowed.Ok. I'm confused. We're cool with Intel now?
It wasn't that long ago that people were badmouthing Intel
Does the vision pro even have ports…?I have a feeling Vision Pro will be updated to M3 and Thunderbolt 5 by launch.
But we were told Intel was working on this a year ago and that it would come out as early as 2023Wow! I was not expecting this from Intel.

Apple wasn't going to prematurely announce the M3 at WWDC 23 just for the early tease of Vision Pro. Especially when they just announced the 15" M2 Air.I doubt it. Rumors are that the Vision Pro will get a quick refresh/2nd gen so it'll probably come with that. No chance are they changing the current 1st gen model.
They advertised that it connects to your Mac. Maybe that was only via AirPlay but I'd be shocked if a "Pro" device was limited in such a way.Does the vision pro even have ports…?
Hopefully the iPhone 15 has it, but I doubt it I would pay extra for that
"Hey look at us! We're busy too!"The fact this is announced today speaks volumes!
The Mac screen mirroring thing was wireless. I just rewatched the keynote a few days ago and they said something to the effect of “without cables” when showing it.They advertised that it connects to your Mac. One is relevant to 10k people the other to 100 million.Nice move intel. Stealing apple’s thunder today.
I can see the press now “intel announces thunderbolt 5 and in other news Apple releases yet another iPhone…”
