I only go to the Facebook app for Facebook videos, and to reply/react to comments from friends/family on posted content from IG. I hardly scroll my FB feed anymore. I probably spend 10x my time on IG and TikTok as compared to FB.

Anyone wishing to go back to a time where Facebook and its other counterparts never existed?

Social network sites are comparable to a double-edged sword... But it seems the bad outweighs the good...

i hate this. i left social media a couple of years ago and use only the direct messaging features.

it drives me crazy my GF going from one reel to another, it’s like someone switching TV channel every 10 sec. i can’t educate her or persuade her to stop noise polluting. i might have to replace her. she says that i am the one stupid and old fashioned.

you should start making reels — since you're old fashioned, that will likely turn her away from them.

Really? I thought that was already in the US, It was introduced here in México many months ago. It's awful, not worth it. Everytime i want to share a reel I see on FB, it never copies the link, I go back to FB just to find out that it's an IG Reel. You'll see it, then you'll hate it c:

Then you realize that the Instagram Reel was just a Tiktok-watermarked video...

I think you should get a replacement... Otherwise point out the money-back guarantee policy...

The smartest thing Facebook ever did was purchase Instagram. Without Instagram, Facebook would be doomed.

Doomed is an exaggeration. Facebook would have been okay without Instagram. Instagram wouldn't be where it is today without Facebook.

Facebook still brings in the majority of ad revenue, but since advertisers are more interested in the younger demographics which Instagram attracts a lot more of vs Facebook, ad dollars are slowly but increasingly shifting over the Instagram.

At the current rate, I figure Instagram will make up half of total ad revenue by late 2022 or early 2023.

I only started using a smartphone in 2016 and Instagram was already part of Facebook back then... Please explain how it was beneficial for Instagram to be purchased by Facebook... Serious question... I was not able to find a supporting information about this claim... I am finding many people hating Facebook or even just the mention of Facebook so I would really like to know your thoughts...

Youtube and Facebook are all tiktok inspired.
The other way around from a Chinese tech company is called ”steal”
YouTube existed way before TikTok...

Also, there may be videos less than 10 minutes or probably less than a minute on YouTube [pre-YouTube Shorts] that were uploaded before the short-form video was mainstream due to several companies like Vine, Musically, TikTok, etc...

A bit off-topic...

Does anyone delete the account first [Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc] before deleting the app from their device? Or they believe that once the app has been deleted, the account goes away?
