What do you guys have against Tim Cook, eh?
Under his visionary guidance, he's ended AirPort, end-user automation, displays, stagnated Apple's product cycle, weakened trust with Apple's deprived professional base, released the Apple Watch to a lukewarm reception, and consistently released watch bands in multitudes of colors while highlighting emojis as a core, important feature within macOS and iOS!
What more could you people want??
The Mac Pro isn't dead yet, and the whiners at Macrumours are more whiny than ever.
Clearly, Tim Cook still has a lot of work to do.
What credit should he be getting though? Removing head phone jack because it was courageous? Or adding more features to iMessage to make it more teenage girl friendly?
The iPhone installed base has grown by 500M users.
The iPad installed base has grown by 175M users.
The Mac installed base has grown by 50M users.
Apple introduced Apple Watch, the company's first wearable product. Approximately 18M Apple Watches, a device positioned as an iPhone accessory, have been sold to date.
Apple is earning more than $6B per year of revenue through app sales via the App Store.
Apple successfully made the difficult jump from a paid music download model to streaming and is approaching 20M paying Apple Music subscribers.
Apple continues to push forward with Apple TV. The company is approaching 10M units sold since the device was updated in 2015.
Apple continues to develop key services including Apple Pay, Messages, and Maps.
Plenty of credit to go round, and I feel Tim Cook ultimately deserves some credit for Apple being the financial juggernaut that it is today.
Meanwhile, the moderators of Macrumors:

Mods just care that people are engaged here and bring in more ad revenue. I have learnt early on that they don't really care whether the posts made are right or wrong, so long as they don't discourage more posts being made.
As usual, the comments here are a riot. As to be expected from myopic individuals who lack perspective and who can't see beyond their own short-term desire for a new Mac Pro.
