Why does it need to be taxed in Europe? It will be taxed by the U.S. The tax is simply deferred until the funds are repatriated per U.S. law.If Ireland doesn't tax profits made elsewhere in Europe then Apple should be paying that tax elsewhere in Europe, but it's not.
Which is exactly what they plan to do.Morally, and this is just my personal opinion, as I've said they should simply pay that up front amount. 12.5% in Ireland, but they also shouldn't be locating themselves for legal purposes in the place with the lowest rate. They should be paying most of it in California.
