So Tim Cook says I can't tell him who he can or cannot 'love,' but HE can tell ME what I can or cannot believe?

Its about promoting the right agenda. This one is clear cut.

Oh yeah among all the other agendas, it had to be homosexuality. Biased much?

I don't care about him stating his personal opinions. Don't rope the company in (Which has been so quiet on almost every other issue)

I really don't have a problem with companies turning away any customers they want to. They're private businesses they can do what they want.

In the same vein, if there's a company that's run by bigots then customers are free to boycott and put those companies out of business.

Wouldn't we all rather know exactly where we stand with one another?

All those "private business" get tax payer handouts in the form of tax breaks and other incentives Joe Q. Public doesn't. So how about the state says 'get since you want the freedom to discriminate against some whose taxes help your business." "How about we give you no help?" Let you TRUELY be a private business???

BAD BAD BAD idea to bring the company and it's shareholders into this controversy. If he doesn't do anything about it (like pulling Apple from states that support the legislation), it makes him look like a hypocrite.

I admire companies much more that take stands instead of sit idly by. It's MUCH easier to sit on the fence than take a stand.

I admire Chick-Fil-A for staying closed on Sundays - even though I don't agree with their ideals. They are taking a stand - and I feel that they are more 'honest' of a company than, say, Burger King, because of this.

Tim Cook IS doing something about it - he's speaking out. There's not going to be a knee-jerk reaction within 48 hours of closing all Indiana Apple Stores. That's pointless. Have the story run through the press, wait to see what is happening in the next few weeks and months. At some point, if nothing changes, then Tim Cook can do more. Somehow, 'internet time' means people need to react immediately. I don't get it.

Can someone point me to a tweet, comment or editorial from Tim Cook chastising China for it's appauling human rights record? Seems to me going after this Indiana law is a pretty safe thing to do.

We have to get a CEO who is a humans rights activist then...

And this is my problem with Cook. It's not "his" company. If I started tweeting stuff like this I would be fired. I don't begrude him any personal beliefs/etc., but he needs to stop speaking on behalf of an entire public company with those agendas.

Everyone being treated the same is an agenda? What a great world we live in.

Then every business that does not want to serve the entire population should have to post a sign stating so. So the rest of us can decide if we want to support such businesses.

Liberals misreporting things. You don't say.

I'll just leave this here.

This still being an issue in everyday society and passing is stupid. It's 2015.
People should not be discriminated against, period. More power to you Tim :apple:

Seeing the video of Pence's performance on ABC's news talk show yesterday was really a trip to bizarro land...

He squawked repeatedly that 'this is not about discrimination', and yet there is no other way to see the law.

It made me wonder who forced him into this, and what they have on him. There was no defense, no matter how much he sighed and rolled his eyes.

Allowing someone, in the pretense of 'religious freedom' to not serve, or provide services to anyone (gays) IS discrimination. The person, or entity, is singling our a group, or sub group and refusing to serve or sell to them. That's not 'sharing the love' now, is it...

Too bad you weren't around in the 60's ... you could have saved us from the Civil Rights Act.
