Gosh, how did I know that all the examples would be from the blaze or the daily caller...

All? Only two. Your post is factually incorrect.
And some (if not all, I don't remember) the articles point to videos or other articles. I also linked in other posts other sources.
So unless you're calling me a liar - for which you should provide some evidence - just give it a rest. Obama as a great orator made mistakes. So did Bush (quite many, actually). And Clinton. And Bush I (plus vomiting on the Japanese prime minister). And Reagan. And Carter (plus a tumble from AF1). And Ford. And Nixon etc.

Please take this free advice: if your comment makes it to @AngerDanger's bingo card, you're really not original and need to think of some new material.

Gee i was trying to stay outta here today and get a lot of work done while the gorgeous sunshine still motivated me to stick to my sewing, but I had to sign in and stick a like on that one.

I think it's great that Cook made light of Trump's booboo. Way to model a sense of humor.

I think it’s Tim Cook not taking himself too seriously and deciding to have some fun.

All presidents have gaffes like this. Remember Obama’s “57 states” and mispronouncing “corpsman” 3 times in the same speech? It seems to me that Trump associates a person with his or her company. That explains “Marillyn “
Lockheed” and “Tim Apple.”

I noticed that too. I'm sure it's some kind of memory/Mnemonic thing that but once you've got it you've got to unravel it completely or you end up looking like an idiot on TV.

Case in point, you're bringing up "57 states" from over a decade ago and mispronouncing of “corpsman" from almost as long ago.

But this post isn't about perceptions about the president, it's about what Tim Apple did...

That's just how Trumps mind works. His brain automatically links names to companies. He doesn't care what Tim's actual last name is, only what company he's in charge of and how he can use Tim to further his own agenda.

As I pointed out elsewhere on PRSI it's not uncommon for presidents (or any human being) to make mistakes like this one. It just happens.

For sure. Obama stuttered a lot and made all kinds of flubs. You'd just not realize it that much, though, as the MSM purposely edited most everything to put Obama in the best light possible. Opposite with Trump, even going out of their way to take things out of context.

Please. Obama made plenty of mistakes of this kind, including thinking that he was in 2008 when it was indeed 2011, that the US had 57 states, that Austrian is a language, that St. Louis is in Kansas, and that a tornado killed ten thousand people (it was 12).
It just happens.

Well, I'm German and I can assure you: Austrian --IS-- a language. Just like a Bavarian is an own language, too. I was born in the Rhineland and have been a native speaker for 49 years now, and for me those two "German dialects" are almost impossible to understand. The funny thing is, people totally accept that Dutch is a unique language, and it doesn't sound any less familiar or stranger to me than Bavarian or Austrian. And I certainly don't understand less when somebody speaks it...

There is no Austrian language. The fact that it's an Austrian variation of German doesn't make it a new Austrian language (similar to Swiss Italian).

Same goes for the Baviarian dialect.

This is the funniest thread I've ever read only because it is so inane.

Not calling you a liar, just saying you're not understanding/comprehending the original post. The point made was that NO OTHER PRESIDENT called someone by their company name like "TIM APPLE" or "Marillyn Lockheed." That is it. And you provided a bunch of links from alt-right sources of random presidential speaking gaffs that a) shows you're not getting the point, and b) shows you get your news from terrible sources.

Trump could simply admit the mistake and say oops, self-deprecation can go a long way and people are pretty understanding when you do it. Instead he would rather lie about it and let half of his staff go to prison trying to cover it up.

Trump told donors he actually said "Tim Cook Apple" really fast, and the "Cook" part of the sentence was soft. But all you heard from the "fake news" was "Tim Apple."

Donors couldn't understand why he would make such a claim, since it's all on video

He said it.
Lied about saying it.
Then doubled down on twitter with another lie.

It's really not a big deal. Trump made it a big(get) deal by doubling down on an absurd lie.

ZERO credibility.

His supporters don't or won't care. Because they don't think it matters - it's a small lie - right? All politicians lie, right? No. This is another perfect example of someone who is pathological. That's not on the same plane.

Just a sidenote about different dialects.
I recall my first posting to Switzerland, when I heard Schwyzerdütsch for the first time. Oh my, was I hopelessly looking for the echtes deutsch subtitles on the forehead of the speaker.

He eventually got around to a reasonable explanation. To err is human. But what I find funny is that this is just a perfect example of how Trump's first instinct is to deny&lie when called on a gaffe. It's a repeated behavior, and consistent. But I bet not one Trump supporter is willing to admit it, without at least adding a "whatabout", or some lame gross exaggeration about how "everyone in Washington lies all the time" as some weak form of excuse. I, for once, would like to see a Trump supporter state that she/he likes Trump even though he is a compulsive liar, without the whatabouts. That I could respect.
