It's, at least, refreshing to see someone like Tim willing to work with our imperfect president, rather than being an insufferable critic 24/7.

It's important to work with those you disagree with rather than just whine about them constantly. There are many who should be following Tim's example here.

Amazing what people find “newsworthy” these days. For years The Onion and others would quiz politicians on basic facts and often they would get them wrong. Heck, most people on the street get them wrong. Not sure where this idea of “famous person must always be perfect” came from. Oh well, enjoy the flubs. There will be more. Heck, most of us make them daily.

Social media, and the need for 24/7 news even if it's useless.

Tim managed to take something half the world would find negative, turn it into a joke, and it was entirely harmless. This is how the world should be. Well done, my good man!

In other news, how many times can one person come off so disingenuous by flubbing the last name of a person for the company they work for on the world stage? You know, little-known Apple.

I suppose if his brand is Trump, and his name is Donald Trump, mistaking Donald Trump for Donald Trump is totally reversible... So... He's only caught when the company doesn't match the last name! Which is pretty rare-- Oh.

The piece of scrap paper in front of him lists names and companies they work for...
Marilyn, Lockheed
Tim, Apple
Donald, Trump
etc...
The commas just blend in, you know, so, well, it looks like one name...

I could go for a big order of "Utica Greens" right now. ;)

Amazing that anyone is legitimately trying to play this off as "they all make this many gaffes".

Very Stable Genius Donald J. Trump said:
Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you’re a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us.

Seeing how often Tim conflates his own personal political convictions with Apple’s operational policies, I can see why some people would lose the distinction between the man and the company he works for.

He will never back down from inserting his political opinions into “Apple’s DNA” so “Tim Apple” it is.

I really don’t even think he called him Tim Apple. He was talking about th company Apple and thanking Tim. They blended together quickly and surely it isn’t a well phrased sentence but he did not call him Tim Apple.

Cute, but Haw haw funny? I call my son by my pet cats name sometimes by accident too. Not such a big deal.

Like everyone else, the president is human and makes mistakes. Like you've never once tried to think of two different things and said them at once. Perhaps he was going to say Tim at Apple or Apple Ceo Tim Cook and instead Tim apple came out. I know I've made mistakes like that many times. People love to hate Trump, but every one of you would love to have his life. You call him stupid, yet he's the president. How many of you really smart people could ever hold the highest position in the country? If a stupid person can do it, then why can't you?
